<DIV> <DIV>Could somone please let me know how well rangers solo compared to other classes? Also, does this ability highten at a certain level, or are they pretty stable in their ability (or inability?) to solo?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The reason im asking is that I'm trying to decide between playing a Warlock and a Ranger. And, given my very limited play schedule, soloing will be a big part of my character's career.  Additionally, which class has an easier time finding groups? When I do want to group, I wont have much time to spend LFG. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please let me know if there's any other major factors I should be considering. Any input if very much appreciated. </DIV></DIV>

<P>As long as you do quests that are primarily outdoors, you would have no problem solo'ing.   Indoor quests (Catacombs, Ruins of Varsoon, Nek Castle, Deathhold...I mean Stormhold, etc.) you can pretty much forget about solo'ing.  Which is contrary to a Ranger anyway.  Heritage quests will be a pain to as they often require groups...unless you outlevel it to where its so grey thats it almost black.  So I guess the question is, how do you want to play? Outdoors or indoors?</P>

<P>I hear Pallies are the best soloer's . I've got a level 20 pally and I found he can solo easy compared to my ranger at the same levels. Still love my ranger though, now 38. I solo him often with not too much hassle, just takes time to perfect the art more compared to other classes.</P> <P>Might be an idea to read the other forums on the other classes and see what they think of their class. They'd all be biased of course <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

Ranger solo is most efficient when doing solo mobs, and preferably down arrow caster ones (like in bloodline zone etc...) you have to get the mob down fast enough to avoid dmg to yourself. If youre against 1 ^^ heroic, the result is not usually very pretty... you can kite the mob or even melee succesfully against green ones, but... it takes more time than its worth imo. So, try to find solo groups, casters or not, best exp are those advanced encounter ones even thou they ARE a bit tougher <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I would bet it is easier to solo with a warlock... atleast in certain point, since they get a 16s stun and AoE root, which doesnt break even if you dmg the rooted monsters... ++Xan (lvl 47 ranger on Oasis) <div></div>

Lvl 36 Ranger here. I was soloing lvl 40 lizard groups (arrow down) in Feerott last night. For the most part I barely got into yellow on damage. Except on those rare occaisions where my arrows all missed <sigh>. Groups consisted of a Mender, Warder and a Disciple. The Mender was usaully dead before they closed, Warder died when my second flameshot proc'd. The disciple went down w/ HO's <div></div>
