<P>As a ranger if your getting 1 weapon get slasher.. </P> <P>A lot of mobs are imune to Piercing or imune to slashing, by having slashing melee  will save you a fortune in buying tier 5 player crafter slashing / blunt arrows. </P> <P>You need legendary or better to hit most raid mobs..</P> <P>SSOY is legendary slasher</P> <P>SBD is legendary Pierce </P> <DIV>so ideally get an ebon slasher and ebon imbued pierce to go with. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Slower weapons are probably better cuz we scouts and we spam specials  slower weapns  do higher DPS than faster weapons when spamming specials..  And slower weapons have higher damage.. i think ebon sai is 20-60 damage with 1.7 delay and ebon crescent axe does 18-53 with 1.5 sec delay.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>There isnt really much in the weapons more your personal choice and what to use.. </DIV>

The dmg/dly ratio of all pristine imbued ebon weapons is within 1%, and recommending a slower weapon based on the interval between spamming CA's is a bit silly at best, and misleading at worst. <P>actually, neecha is VERY right about his statement... you need more damage in less ratio, because you are doing damage right after your ca's finish, and that ONE round, is very crucial</P> <P>if your not spamming your CA's, then your not doing your job as a ranger, as most should know</P> <P>i parsed myself, during a fight in zek, here were the numbers</P> <P>JUST Melee (no poison) 49.1dps</P> <P>JUST CA's (no poison) 60.3dps</P> <P>both melee and ca (no poison)  103.4dps</P> <P>Melee with poison 60.1dps</P> <P>CA's with poison 64.5</P> <P>melee and ca, 115dps (also had mob turn on me so it might not be completely up to what it is supposed to be)</P> <P>remember, i'm only level 31</P> <P>now, i do more dps with just my abilities, but the damage from my swords is definately prevelant in the dps parser</P> <P>the numbers may be off by a couple because of the differential that may occur in my hits, </P><p>Message Edited by MrNamehasalreadybeentaken on <span class=date_text>05-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>01:11 PM</span>
