<DIV>I chose the fast sneak at lvl 40 just like i did at 30.  Unfortunately however i'm really torn because i saw one of the options was for a nice debuff arrow.  Now as much as i love fast sneaking i know my primary purpose as a ranger is DPS, and a debuff will do more for my group's dps than my ability to run and be invisible.  As a lvl 10, i picked an extra damage backstab that while neat, was very minimal damage over what i had previously.  I still have the option to respec, so wanted to see if anyone else picked one of the other lvl 40 training options, and what you think of them.</DIV>

<P>Trust me, the fast sneak is no contest.  Makes life so much easier,  i was sneaking past level 50 mobs at level 40 with the sneal to group with my friends.</P> <P> </P> <P>-Nefego</P>

<div></div>I took the debuff arrow and it's one of my best skills now.  My damage goes through the roof once it lands especially with my Piercing and slashing defuffs and some poisons.  If you do it right you can combine skills to debuff a mob about 500+ to all physical damage.  It's sick.  I hit for a lot more and so does my group. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Reidas on <span class=date_text>05-24-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:15 AM</span>

<DIV>now i'm conflicted, a skill that i love and gives lots of personal utility, or a skill that will increase my dps.</DIV>

I was conflicted as well, but I figured that in the end game it would be more appropriate to have the debuff over the sneak.  We'll be moving as a raid or large group as it is and my regular sneak while slow still gets the job done if I need to meet up with a group in hostile areas. <div></div>

<P><FONT size=2>Hmmm, this is going to be a tough choice for me too. I won't have to make this decision anytime real soon (I have combat XP gain off so my lovely companion can catch up) but I <STRONG>loved</STRONG> getting Hagar's Camo at 30. I still use it a lot as it works on a surprising number of mobs in T4 areas. If they see thru the Camo, I can always break out Huntsman's Trap... but then I feel like I'm running through Jell-o. But the debuff arrow sounds very useful too - what skill would that replace? And can someone post the actual stats on it? Many thanks.</FONT></P>

If you took Hagers Camoflage as one of the earlier training choices, the decision becomes much easier.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Basically the level 40 sneak option is a replacement for Huntsman's Trap (which I have always felt was useless because I took the high speed Hager's much earlier). The snare chance is really only usefull in solo, and even then you would have to troll yourself by the mob and hope to let him strike you first for it to be effective, not something that I plan on doing. If you didn't take Hager's Camoflage, and do not have access to a full-speed sneak, then by all means, because that SHOULD be your #1 priority. <div></div>

<font size="2">Hagar's Camo is useless for mobs over lvl 38 cause that's when they they can see through it.  I took the new invis at 40 and it has lvl 42 stealth which will handle anything to at least lvl 50.  If you're still using Hagar's at 40 you're SOL beyond TS and EL.</font> <div></div>

<DIV>You wont be disapointed if you choose fast sneak or uber deabiliting arrow shot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you choose fast sneak youll have less hassle going places fast without aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you choose the advanced deabiliting arrow you will be pleased later on when you raid with mobs that got ae and just stand there shooting your arrows in.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Enough said, you wont be disapointed wichever of the two you choose<img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

<DIV>Not to get off topic, but I found that if I used huntsmans trap while running away from a mob I could snare them and get a bigger lead.  Of course, it never has been that difficult to outrun mobs in the first place.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks for the info on the choices at 40.  I will probably be making that decision tonight.  Since I am primarily a solo player, I will probably pick the debuff.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kwent</DIV>

Do we get a choice at 50? <div></div>
