Need Steel Cluster advice

well steel dual wield weapons have a damage rating of 13.3 the short sword is 6 agi 4 str 17 hp 20 power 4-12 base damage at 1.2 seconds. If at all possible get it imbued, the proc tops out at 94-175 damage at level 30 and has a 5% chance to proc (normalized to 5% chance every 3 seconds) I use feysteel rapiers now they are 1.3 speed but would have very similar stats to the short sword basically, my best suggestion is to get one piercing one slashing made but go look at the regular iron weapons and just decide on what you like the look of and go from there. as far as armor, meh, not until I'm 40 will I care about rare armor. <div></div>

I am an amorsmith on Oasis server and I made my brother a 27th Ranger both an imbued Steel BP and Imbued Steel Leggings. He has definitly noticed the difference in the hits he takes plus the armor will last quite a bit longer than 10 levels since the nonrare tier4 armor (feyiron) is worse than the steel stuff. The proc on the bp is a 100point heal over 24 secs (24points per tick) and procs quite often. The proc on the legs is a DD of 140ish. Not being a ranger I really can't tell you which way to go between weapons and armor, but I can at least fill you in what steel armor is like. Hope this helps.

<P><FONT size=2>Wow, grats on the steel clusters!</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=2>Do you primarily group or do more soloing? If you're soloing a lot, I'd consider the armor, but otherwise I'd go for weaponry. (Or maybe one weapon and one armor piece?) I had a steel stiletto (dropped) that I really liked, so a pristine imbued one would be great. If you do go weaponry, I'd consider a heavier, slower weapon and a lighter, faster weapon, one piercing and one slashing. Like a hand axe and a leafblade spear, for instance. If you want to go two small, light weapons, I'd recommend a short sword and stiletto or dagger. <P>Thanks for the advice.   I decided to go with weapons and was fortunate enough to have my guildmate hook me up with the Pristine Imbued Steel Stiletto and Short Sword so I can work up my slashing as well.   This should hold me over well until I finish the PGT quest.    </P> <P>Appreciate all the help. </P>
