Hi fellow Rangers,

I know some don't like posts like this very much, but to all who care, I would like to say goodbye. I wish you all a great time in EQ2, may the class be balanced, the content fun and entertaining. Myself I couldn't match my idea of the classes' visions with SOE's vision anymore and had like nothing to do anymore. so I will take my leave.

As number 7 Ranger at level 50 on Mistmoore and number 51 gamewide (with covering some of the jumped content with alts later on), my maincause on this board was to fight for this class to be balanced, for their lesser tanking, lesser utility and more restrictions to actually mean something. Also I hope I have been a bit of help for other Rangers asking something now and then and that I was not just viewed as a senseless whiner.

After 4.5 years EQ1 and 0.5 years EQ2 it is now time for me to play the last MMORPG, the one in which one cannot suffer from lack of content or things to do, where only one class is seemingly overpowered (the "Politician"): The Massive Multiplayer Offline Reality Playing Game called "Real Life".

Oh, and to all that consider these age old jokes still fun: No, you cannot have my gear (most is attuned anyways, the rest already given to a continueing friend), and no, I won't let the door hit me on my way out

Sorry to see you go, but at least you are being honest about your motivations and actually tackling the RL thing. :smileyhappy: As only a 32 Ranger I can honestly say I'm having a great time, although leveling is not my focus, questing and helping my guild is.

Good Luck!

Cheers and 'Good luck' to you. And do use caution, I hear there are no level restrictions for any of the content. :: wave ::

Awww... sad to see you go, Teleria. You're one of the folks I regularly find (found..sniff) myself agreeing with, and definitely thought that we were often on the same page in working towards the improvement and general well-being of rangers in EQ2. It's rare that you find forum denizens who truly care about their class (beyond their own desire to be uber) and who regularly go out of their way to help others. Many of us have benefited from your regular contributions around here, and you'll definitely be missed.

Perhaps before you go, you could provide us with a bit of a retrospective, looking back from 50? Or share your thoughts on how far the class has come since you began playing it? <grabs snack and gets comfy for story-time>

Take care, wish you all the best in your future endeavors.
