Which skill should I definetly upgrade to AdeptIII?

I play a level 26 Ranger and although I've been trying to keep most of my skills to atleast Adept I, I am curious what skills should I definetly look to upgrade to Adept III. Maybe there is a priority of paths to upgrade that I am unaware of which is why I am asking here.I assume that high damage spells should be upgraded first and then skills that I use the most. I am also trying to consider the fact that some spells will be upgraded with a newer improved spell during my levels.Any recommendations are welcome. <P>If I had to do it all again, I wouldn't upgrade anything past adept 1 until I recieved my final abilities.</P> <P>The gold cost just isn't worth it.</P> <P>I was pretty lucky with rare's in my 20's.  I managed to have backshot, openshot, shadowblade, shadowflame all at adept III.</P> <P>All from Rare's I mined myself.  Now that i'm 33 I have shadowlunge and triple shot at adept III and the rest all at adept 1.</P> <P>I wish I had taken those 6 rare's I harvested, sold them and just kept everything at adept 1.</P> <P>Figuring it out. <div></div>I think Adept III's are well worth the money.  Rangers are all about damage, it's our job.  Unlike Swashbucklers, who can mez and group sneak, etc we just KILL.  And every upgrade in damage that you can get ... times the infinite number of attacks that you make...  makes it all worth while. It's a bit off topic but I'll use my proc'ed weapon as an example.  I recently laid out some serious coin for an imbued feysteel stiletto.  In the last three days, I have logged 505 fights.  My stiletto proc'ed 96 times with an average damage of 139.  That's 13,344 hp's of damage *additional* to what I was doing before.  Aside from the cool animation, one 139 point hit may not feel like much but it all adds up as I have just illustrated. To answer the original question... I upgraded Shadow Flame, Shadow Blade, Shrouded Strike, Shadow Lunge, Pouncing Attack, and just got Raven Embers. <div></div><p>Message Edited by Kinesthesia on <span class=date_text>05-04-2005</span> <span class=time_text>04:08 PM</span>

I upgraded Makeshift Arrows to Adept III - I much prefer 45 arrows rather than the 5 at App I <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I burn through arrows so quickly when I solo, and this keeps me well equipped at all times. btw - 34 Ranger atm. <div></div>

I got a Rough Jasper today from killing some giant beaver at behemoth pond. I was doing access to the new zone, his name was Paddlesomething. I ended up getting two discoveries from that new solo instance in Nek forest, it's fun!Anyways, i'm gona review the list and figure out where i want to go. I agree that Makeshift Arrow will get alot of use from me, but i want to upgrade skills that don't get replaced like Cheap Shot since i use it all the time, and Shadow Lunge/Shadow Flame. I'm gona wait for Triple Shot and such also. I'm still using Shrouded Attack so im gona wait for Pouncing Attack and upgrade that one.Thanks for the feedback, ill post my results tonight.

Yep, it was Paddlefoot. Anyways, after looking at the market last night i decided not to upgrade any of my skills to Adept III until i've reached the 40+ ones, till then i will stick with adept1/app4's. What made me decide that was the fact that Jasper/Palladium cost as much as Opals and Rutheniums.Maybe the market is going through a phase but, i half expected the Jasper to be more around 20g and on a good day anywhere from 15-20. Anyways, i spent my money and got a full suit of feysteel armor, two imbued feysteel falchions (I was going to do the leaf blades but i kind of liked fast attacks, and the falchion's look nice) along with an imbued oak bow. As far as jewelry goes im just going to get regular stuff and imbued opaline rings for the effects. And dolls of course, assuming i ever find what the name of the T4 root is (never bothered to look before).That should keep me set for a while, till i hit level 40, but since im a relaxed player, that might take a while. I'm so excited, going to hit RoV tonight and kill me some golems!
