Note the spelling error in the title - but = bout

I get kinda annoyed when I'm using T5 arrows just for fun and my regular bow dmg never hits anywhere near my max damage. Rangers are suppose to be the best with bows then we should easily be able to hit high dmg with a bow when using Indium arrows. And now that steady aim doesn't increase ranged so it's even more difficult to hit high dmg. IDK just me finding something to rant about in the middle of the night.

Message Edited by Zemeckis85 on 05-01-2005 01:53 AM

the max damage ratings listed on bows is only one part to the equation that determines how hard you hit. There are other factors (like stats, mob AC, etc.) that will affect how hard you hit so until you can eliminate all possible variables, you don't really have an issue.

I believe people have documented that you will hit for the same damage with a CA + makeshift carbonite arrows as you will with that same CA + higher end ones. Nomal ranged shots, however, should account for arrow differences.

Either way, however, the above poster is correct. Resists and other factors will keep you from ever really seeing a max damage from any weapon. The closest you will get to max damage is to go to a starter zone like Forest ruins and pop one of the low level critters there with your best arrows.

I have nearly maxed with all melee and bow arts on epic encounters which are generally the toughest. Also, be careful because the values shown in the description are not always correct.

Linyen
50 Ranger Permafrost
Fires of Heaven
