<DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2>First off, lol, 4/20...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2>It seems there are at least three Ranger nerfs in the latest update (ok, some affect more than just Rangers, but this is the Ranger forum)...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana><FONT size=2><STRONG>Mob Attack Speed Increase:</STRONG>  This is really a problem only while soloing...  We used to be able to time a Pouncing Attack (or Shadow) & Raven Embers combo between a mob's standard attack rate.  The point being we could inviz. and cast Raven before the mob re-melee's us (breaking our inviz.).  With the reduction in delay between mob melee/standard attacks this isn't possible anymore ('been trying in the Feerrott).  We must use Cheap Shot, which is only up about once a solo mob it seems (30s recast).  Basically, before today I could use Pouncing Attack/Raven and then a Cheap-Shot/Jump-and-Shadow/Crippling Blade.  As of today, however, I can only use the latter combo.  Reducing solo damage per mob by about 300~400.  A significant, anti-soloing nerf.  As Rangers depend on these multi-move attacks more than other classes do this hurts us, particularly.</FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana><FONT size=2><STRONG>Possible Simple Fix:</STRONG>  Reduce the recast timer on Cheap-Shot significantly (maybe only upgraded versions?)</FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana><FONT size=2><STRONG>Delay After Casting Pouncing Attack:</STRONG>  One second delay after the hit before you go inviz.  Just making it more difficult for us, again, especially in solo.</FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana><FONT size=2><STRONG>No Hail in Inviz:</STRONG>  To me this seems reasonable--after all, how can one get another's attention and stay inviz.?  But there are a lot of things in these games that aren't real, and, this change is a significant nerf from the abilities we had yesterday (think of how-often we used this ability during questing).</FONT></FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face=Verdana size=2>There are others too (q.v. I've been trying it out and it now correctly stealths you straight away when the attack lands and you can queue up your attacks, so I'm very happy. </span><div></div>

<DIV>I love how stealth doesnt reduce running speed anymore, and being able to cast pathfinding while running is awesome too. I havent got to see how soloing is yet cause I was in a group last night hunting named NPCs for lightstone quest and killing greys. Hope its not too bad</DIV>

Hope its not too bad</DIV><BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <P><BR>Stealth no longer reduces running speed?  If that was intended I hope I get to respect Hagaar's Camo and Holly's Stalking Trap then since aside from being of Adept2 quality, they would be no different from the skills they are upgrading.</P> <P>It seems that the swipe procs from Blade Flurry were changed to a short range AoE with this patch, I was fighting in Tombs of Night and Nektropos last night and would repeatedly agro nearby grey mobs when it would proc.</P> <P>Although I am not a fan of the no hail while invis change, I think if you are going to change one aspect about it that seems inappropriate, then they should also change how some puny level 10 guard in Freeport can still spot a sneaking ranger 4 times his level.</P>

I don't remember any change in speed while stealth'ed last night... but maybe I wasn't paying proper attention.  I do LOVE being able to cast Pathfinding on the run, that always annoyed me. And best of all... fixing Pouncing Attack !  I just got it, and silly me had an Adept III standing by... so when I saw the delay, I was quite irritated.  But I only had to suffer through it less than a week, now it works like a champ ! I'm not thrilled about the hailing thing... but I can't argue with it...  oh wait, yes I could... Yes, you could get someone's attention and speak to them if they couldn't see you.  "Psssttt, hey over here... I need you to give me another [Removed for Content]' quest update...."     But... I'll live... <div></div>
