<DIV>  I recently rolled a Ranger and currently am at lvl 23.  I use 2 poisons at all times.  I run one debuff poison and one damage poison.  The problem is, how do I tell if they proc?  Is there an animation when it hits?  I never have seen anything that would lead me to believe they are working.  Thanks for any tips!</DIV>

<DIV>I would suggest just running one poison, or at least run 2 dmg poisons. I am not exactly sure how you tell on the debuff poisons, but on dmg poisons you will see the number that is outlined as your dmg proc.</DIV>

And even before that only 1 poison type procced (used 2 just to make sure i dont run out of poison or i didnt have same types than someone else in party) Currently some of the poisons seem to be broken (atleast the player crafted poisons has this problems). You can see the msg: You poison hits XYZ for 120 dmg (etc...) in teh same window where the combat msg:s are displayed (atleast i see em there). But, also, if you examine the poison, and dont see any indication for the proc rates (usually 25% chance) or dmg they make, it most surely is broken atm... That is: examine <insert poison name here> --> Casts <insert proc name here> --> no further info = <b>BROKEN </b>If after examine you see: Has 25% chance to inflict <xyz> dmg, Inflicts <xyz> dmg over <N> seconds (or sumthing like that) the poison SHOULD work. (Atleast this is what i have discovered, also it has been discussed on few other threads in these forums) ++Xan (lvl 40 ranger on Oasis)

Thanks for the tips guys. Guess I will experiment a bit.  I am so set in my ways that I turn off damage messages and didnt even think of opening a new window to see if it procs.  <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />   Thanks again.

<P><FONT size=2>Tabbed chat window works well for this. (Well...it's buggy...but it CAN work well.) I have one tab that's all combat stuff, and I don't really watch it during every fight (I prefer to have group chat up so I can communicate during battle) but it's good to verify that your poison damage is proc'ing. The other day I felt like my damage just wasn't right, and watching that during a few encounters showed me that my player-crafted poison was broken and hadn't proc'ed once all night long. I cancelled that application switched it out with another vial of a different poison, and I started seeing it proc in the Combat text window. </FONT></P> <P><FONT size=2>FWIW, I turn off almost all combat variables except my own attacks, misses, damage, etc - otherwise it's far too cluttered to read during battle, and right now I'm not too concerned about what the mage in my group is doing. <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Good luck!</FONT></P>
