<DIV><FONT size=2>Just wondering how others are feeling about the ranger situation. I know a lot of the problems still exist for the 40-50 game, but in general, do you think the class is getting at least a bit of the attention that it deserves? </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>Personally, I'm a lot happier with my ranger lately. I can't stop playing him. Some of this is due to SOE's recent changes, some of it is due to my own good fortune, and some of it is due to just making progress in the game. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>How are you guys feeling?</FONT></DIV>

well done with my 30's starting on my 40's so far is still good, yes a lot of poisons dont hit as much and i resort to kiting a lot but overall i still fell good almost 41 been 40 for 1 week now just checking out my damage around feeroot,rv, re, ct, and ool but so far is alright.

I just started my 30's and the difference from 20's to 30's imho has been tremendous. I am much happier with my Ranger right now than I think I ever have been. Excited to see my development from here, but I think overall this class is a really nice fit for me and keeps me very interested in gameplay :smileytongue:

The 30's have been fun. I'm worried that our dps costs so much money tho. And I'm nervous going into the 40's. Hopefully we'll get a look-at before I get too far in <div></div>

<DIV>I love playing my Ranger but i still don't like having to switch back and forth between arrows while i try to Rip enough to use. Now i don't know if we're broke or not but i noticed last night that a number of my Archery abilities were now useful while moving. I hope it was a fix rather than a new bug introduced.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheers, </DIV>

<DIV>Okay so far...alot of rangers are still griping but I can still outdps most bruisers/monks on raid mobs. You basically have to find a ryhthm to get in and you can do massive amounts of dmg. Rangers are still awesome, you may use 3-400 arrows on a raid mob but maybe its just me but I am lucky and have a woodworker guildie and buy stacks for 1g each.</DIV>

I've enjoyed my Ranger since I became one, and since I don't play hard-core enough, I don't really notice when they change little things, but the post above that mentioned tracking nodes, well, that would be awesome!

nah that resource tracking ability would be stupid. it'd just end up leading you to fishing nodes. it would be more frustrating than useful. if they gave you different colors or whatever for different nodes. that would just be too complicated. worse off, they'd probably nerf something else or give assasins an actually useful ability instead of foraging or whatever. i'd much rather they focus on making bows stronger or something actually useful. i harvest too, but pathfinding and that one agi/speed buff already makes it much easier for us to get to nodes. <div></div>

I would be happier by leaps and bounds if they would lower the power cost on some of our attacks.  As a ranger, I am ALWAYS the first one to go OOP and this isn't just from spamming specials.

<DIV>I was very disgruntled because so many of our skills didn't work properly.  Most nights, I'd pass on playing becasue of the disappointment it caused.  Now I'm very excited.  Not everything is fixed, but at least we are heading in the right direction. :smileyhappy:</DIV>

The only thing I want to make me almost completely happy is to increase the melee damage on our weapons by a bit and increase the damage on our ca's or reduce the recast.  Other scouts have multiple ca's that do the same dmg with a considerably lower recast.  Also the power cost is a little ridiculous.  I hate using PGT at lvl50 for power in group or when helping some friends.

Well they finally fixed longshanks, so i wouldn't expect anything else good to happen for next few months lol <div></div>

<div></div>There's still a lot of broken skills, but since LU#6 my DPS has definately been increased so I'm happier than before. For example, against the Fiery Apparition ^^^ named in Lavastorm, I got the following DPS figures: Group Damage: 126855 Highest Hit: Okima 813, Crippling Blade lvl46 Okima: Total 40878, DPS = 109.6 lvl50 Tank#1: Total 38609 (Pet 10425), DPS = 103.5 lvl50 Tank#2: Total 34321, DPS = 92.0 So, even 4 levels lower than the tanks I can out DPS them in a sustained fight. This wasn't happening a while ago, they were kicking my butt. My biggest problem was power usage though. If we didn't have mana regen from other group members I would have been out of power and the DPS would have suffered. All of the other classes seemed to have plenty of power left. Maybe I should get myself a manastone...hehe....I was using store bought poisons too, so I could probably have gone even higher DPS with the player made ones. Now whilst this does look good, I'm still dreading getting to the level 50 raid mobs as I hear they are immune or have very high resists to Scout type attacks so my DPS will plummet again. If they could fix our remaining broken skills, and reduce the level of power usage a few notches then I'd be very happy. Oh, and maybe give 2 or 3 arrows from Adept Rip/Tear. Thanks ! <div></div><p>Message Edited by Timtim on <span class=date_text>04-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>12:30 PM</span>

<div></div>To be around 150+ dps, i have to be constantly use spells/ca. I'm a big power sink, it's amazing. And most of the time i have clarity/insight and i use GEBs ! too bad i don't have a robe of the invoker lol <div></div><p>Message Edited by Randall-Raines on <span class=date_text>04-12-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:32 PM</span>
