I have a question as I spoke to 2 rangers and both are not using poison as they thought they could not. So what is ther answer? Can we use poison the same way assassin can? Also can we use higher end poison as we go up also? One question regarding poison right now as I am a Predator lvl 14 heading to Ranger. My poison is green to me now and all other poison I find is too high for me. Anybody know where I can find some for my lvll? I am using crypt sludge which is green to me. tks.

You might want to look at the other threads around - these exact questions are answered. Not only can you use poison, you should. I would almost say "you must". It's a very significant addition to our DPS. No you cannot use two at once. Only one works at a time.

Tks guys. Yes I know that other threads said we can but when I spoke to 2 high lvl ranger who did not know that they could use poison I was starting to think it might not be. Happy I finally got this solved. Tks again

I didn't find out I could use poison til I hit level 29, and I can't begin to tell you what a huge difference it made. Definitely check around the rest of the forums for some of the longer, more informative threads on poisons as well, there's a wealth of knowledge out there if you take the time to find it.

On the subject of stacking poisons, there is a way it can be done that is within the design of the game. There are actually two types of poison, one that deals an amount of up-front damage and another amount of damage at the end of every 6-second "tick" for a length of time. The other type of poison is a debuff poison. I think these may only be available from player-crafters as I've never seen them in the South Qeynos alchemy shop, but I could be wrong on that. Debuff poisons generally have a smaller chance to hit (usually around 15-20%) and debuff one or two different stats. The two that I most often use are Turbulent Misery, which debuffs poison resistance, and Whispers of Heartlessness, which debuffs magic and slashing resistance. Two poisons can be used together if one is a damage poison and the other is a debuff poison. There's one thread in particular (can't find it right now myself) that gives a much more detailed explanation of this... find it and check it out for yourself.

Hask - 36 Ranger, 33 Weaponsmith on Neriak

I played around with my poison today and another cool fact, put poisons in activatable slots, use em. Once done remove em and put what ya want in that spot, for me is manastone (power regen for HP's Heritage item), and a pristine shadow roughspun imbued hexdoll (+9 AGI and has slow effect must activate it), I have hotkeys for both and poison stays up so I only have poison in my slots when I am activating it, so keep poisons up and use the stuff SOE gave us.....was very happy when I experimented with that last night.
