Depends on your arts and I have always been told to have a pierce in main hand....ironically just got SSoY last night so using that and PGT (no piercing) waiting to see how that does....if I notice certain arts not doing well I will make pierce my main again...anyone test this yet with crippling blade etc....says pierce dmg if using slashing? <p>Message Edited by Caltros on <span class=date_text>04-03-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:24 AM</span>

Before you get Raven Embers piercing main hand isn't a bad idea.  Since, til then we only get a piercing debuff.  After Raven Embers it doesn't matter to much while grouping, since we can then debuff Pierce and Slash.   Some of our skills like our backstab the weapon type doesn't matter, its always piercing damage.

Imho, the main hand weapon dmg type determines the dmg type you make with your CA:s (dont know thou, if eg. stabs etc always do piercing like Fluster said) ++Xan <div></div>

<DIV>in ct last night i messed about a bit with changing weapons and the damage i was doing was about the same but i didnt parse it just watched my numbers off the top of the mobs head (not very scientific i know), crippling blade was landing for around 400-500 like usual and hit up to 700 with the SSOY. With SSOY in primary and PGT secondary i was getting good procs off both weapons. Obviously replacing PGT with SBD saw my power regen plummet like a stone but the damage i was doing didnt change all that much. Think I will stay with SSOY and PGT for now as this seems to be working</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All i want now is invoker robe starter and i'll be as happy as a halfling in a ale and pie shop :smileytongue:</DIV>
