I took out my bird and we started going at it again, i have no idea [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] happend but it would not tell me landacet i cant do that anymore, i was surprise it actually started fighting. of course once the fight was over and we parsed it my pet did 75 damage.....lol i mean is not laughable since before it did none. So come on Rangers go and Kick Some [Removed for Content]. Actually some people say they do fight. If your mob casts and AoE or group attack the bird will get hit and rush into the fray. I've never parsed it out, cause I rarely use my pets, so I can't say either way. May be something to parse tonight while I'm LFG.

Yes, the bird will attack the mob ONLY if the bird is hit by the mob first. Otherwise it just stands around. You can get your bird to attack in every battle by putting it between you and the mob, and then using "Shadow or Stalk" on the mob to pull it. The mob will then go right to the bird and attack it. Note that the bird doesn't keep aggro well, so your first attack on the mob will most likely send it flying towards you. However, the bird will continue to attack. <div></div>Yeah, I had fun this weekend trying out the following:  Pull with 'Evade', then 'Stalk', jump behind and 'Shadowblade'.  Neat way to use your pet, but frankly, I do alot more damage with a Backshot+Wounding Arrow, then strafe and Open Shot. I'm just happy to have my birdy get my back if I have to run.
