<DIV>In my spare time when there's none of my guild/friends are online to play i've rolled a Ranger on one of the Rp servers to fill my free time. I plan on doing both Adventure and Craft leveling with this toon in a sequence keeping my crafting/adventure levels close. Now i know Woodworking allows us to make bows and arrows, but i've also been considering Provisioner to make my own food stuffs aswell. Since i doubt i'll make much of any money i end up with crafting anyways, most will be gotten through adventure, i'm wondering which path might prove more beneficial and efficient.</DIV>

<DIV>I personally chose woodworker and i do really enjoy it but there are benefits from many classes that you can choose. As a Ranger going provisioner you can make your own food, come in very handy having quality food when soloing, you coul dgo weaponsmith, while our bow attacks are important and making arrows and bows is nice, half of our fighting is in melee being able to make your own swords, daggers ect. is also a plus, armorer is also a choise similarly to weaponsmith just youd be making your own armor instead of weapons. Jeweler is also a very good choice you canmake your own jewelry PLUS you can make your own spells whichis also a giant perk. It all depends on what your looing for. but as a high lvl ranger myself if you manage it right with your skill you will be using makeshift arrow and rip/tear much more then arrows you make, and you can get by with those spells. Woodowrker is fun totems are nice bows and arrows are less trouble aquiring but there are plenty of craft options for a ranger.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Caledas</DIV> <DIV>lvl 42 Ranger</DIV> <DIV>lvl 32 woodworker </DIV> <P>Message Edited by Caledas11 on <SPAN class=date_text>03-29-2005</SPAN> <SPAN class=time_text>09:41 AM</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by Caledas11 on <span class=date_text>03-29-2005</span> <span class=time_text>09:42 AM</span>

Personally I choose the profession that makes disposable/consumable goods. Both provisioner and woodworker are such. A armoror is good and weaponsmith is good because you get to make some stuff that you don't have to buy, but you will always need more food or arrows. I am a woodworker, but am thinking of making an alt character just to go provisioner. My main character will still do all the harvesting, but pass the goods to my alt to do the crafting so I essentially get the best of both worlds! <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>I am a woodworker but I'd definitely say no, it's not necessary for a ranger. You can stay supplied in arrows/bows/etc pretty easily without it. In fact, I'd say you'd get more personal use out of being a provisioner or jeweler.</DIV>
<DIV>Short answer No.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Longer answer is Woodworker will not be of any help to you unless one of these things is true...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) you level woodworker at an equal or slightly faster pace than your ranger</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>2) Your lvl 50 Ranger/Woodworker</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Youd be better of being a jeweler to make your skills which are more important than your weps (flame on)</DIV>

<P>Since we excel at using posions, it would make sense to be an alchy. Player made posions are much better than the ones you buy from an NPC.</P> <P>I chose provisioner and I am glad I did since the prices of food are outrages, but finding good player made posion is also difficult. I ended up rolling an alt and I am working him up to alchy. IMO with the interdependencies taken away, alchy is more viable since you can easily sell your extra posions to buy food.</P> <P>On the other hand, I suppose I could easily sell food to pay for the player made posions. Problem is that there are few listed on the broker at any given time.</P> <P> </P> <P>Kwentavius</P> <P> </P>
