I am a lvl 50 ranger on the permafrost server. This is only my 2nd MMORPG to play my first being SWG (L2 beta also). I started the game as a Qeynosian, and planned on being an assasin. By the time I hit 19.8 I was wandering around /shouting where do I go to the assasin trainer. Haha by this time I get several tells..."You have to be a freeportian to become a assasin". Then my next /shout was " How do I go to freeport?" haha I was never one to read the game manual. Anyways I found out I could not betray and become an assasin. So I finished the Ranger quest and was a proud new Ranger. I am much appreciated of my determination to rip open the EQ2 box and pop the dvd in and start playing! I love the Ranger class and would not ever be anything else. I am in the guild Equinox, we are probably in the top 5 guilds of permafrost but we do not do much raiding. We have a about 15 50's and 3-4 49's and are just now getting to hitting the raid mobs. I left Equinox about 2 weeks ago to go to a big time raiding guild, as I was unguilded I did some raiding and had alot of fun. Needless to say I went back to Equinox, I lvled to 50 with them and it was my home, and I think to have fun you need to find a group of people you grow with. But to my point, I play alot of EQ2 and I very much enjoy the game. Fires of Heaven is the number 1 guild on perma and raid several things every day. I know of 2 Rangers in FoH that have decent equipment, Prismatics, Rathine Leafblade, and just misc other raid loot. I on one hand do not have that luxury of raid loot. I have one chest piece that is the "medium" range of raid loot. I want to be teh best Ranger I can and have the best equipment, I spent alot of time harvesting (and getting VERY lucky), I have spent alot of time to be the best I can.Here is the link to my profile.http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=229735202I have not set up a parser yet (due to me being a computer idiot) but have been parsed many times. I have adept 3's in tanglethorn, longshanks (lot of good that does), storm of arrows, triple fire, culling the herd, blazing thrust, survival of the fittest, and I know I am forgetting 2 more. I would liek to think/say I am one of the highest melee dps on my server, but cannot say for sure. I got 2 strength dolls, the imbued rings, and imbued ebon short swords. I can get my stats up to 172 str, 193 agi, 106 sta, 2590 power, and 3503 hp solo. I am very happy with what I have done to my Ranger and that is one reason for this post (lots of hard work im gloating a bit =P). But also just for people to shoot for stat wise and for even me to shoot for stat wise, and for all of you not in the uber raid guilds to know you dont have to be in one to be a very good ranger, you really dont even need the good equipment. I would love to see others stats.I am very pleased with the Ranger class and dps, we are growing better and better every day. So post your stats, and any awesome ranger raid loot drops that you know of.
