<DIV>As bows go...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The "The Sureshot Bow". I tried to find a pic and stats but couldn't, if I remember right the damage reaches up to 190, it is a longbow and has some nice stat bonuses. I have the bow and the stats are very nice for my level (32 now) as far as I can tell it will last you at least to 38 maybe higher.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ajacks</DIV>

<div></div>I'm confused.  The pic shows that the required sword skill for SSoY is 200.  Can it be equipped before level 40? <div></div><p>Message Edited by Meldarion on <span class=date_text>03-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>03:42 PM</span>

<P>I think you are correct, my bad I thought it was wield-able by 38. However not bad to have obtained by 38 for status reasons and only two levels to use. Any recommendations on replacement?</P> <P> </P> <P>Ajacks</P> <p>Message Edited by Sunjaguar on <span class=date_text>03-21-2005</span> <span class=time_text>11:03 PM</span>

The Bloodlet Bow (alternate reward for OpGreenHood) is better than SureShot, and tops out at 40.  I hear a pristine cedar is good from thereon in. <div></div>

<DIV>Apparently I will have to hunt Evol Ritualists for a while.  That Nightcrawler is great.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I totally agree on the PGT for high 30's rangers.  It is espcially a help while solo-ing because of the 518 point ward that it places on you.  If that trips, you can beat solo yellows no trouble, and the added power means you can go nuts with less concern for power drain.  Its not a panacea but it is a significant help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I highly recommend all Rangers pick it up as soon as they can.  The quest is pretty solo friends.  I solo'd all steps in the quests with the exception of Ocotogorgon.  The worst part is coming up with the Fir stave.  Those were going for nearly 50g on the Guk server.  I spent 35 and bought it directly by auctioning in TS and Nek.  Worth every penny to me, but thats a lot of coin.</DIV>

<P>I have very limited info on him do you have some basic stats you could post on him that I could incorporate into the post? Also what type of group did you take against him and what did he drop? This would all be really nice to know. I'm imagining the drop is fairly rare although I cannot substantiate that personally. It is a very nice tunic especially for the low 30s level requirements.</P> <P>Thanks Zem.</P> <P>Ajacks</P> <P>DE Ranger (AB)</P>

<P>As a 38 ranger, I use the slime coated harpoon.  Good dual wield weopon with a proc, and I believe it is better then the non PGT weopon you linked, but i could be wrong.  Do not have the stats because I am not in game, but maybe someone could post that for me.  Thanks </P> <P> </P> <P>P.S. From a quest like the agility haste ring, but in commonlands.  Not many people know of it, but it is the same type of quest with another raid mob, no knock back this time though. </P>

<DIV>At 46/47 i still use my PGT and Manastone, I dont think there is much out there to beat that combo, Nothing finer than clicking manastone when PGT procs for a mana refresh. Not online atm but i think its around 420 power back total ( around 20/25 percent dependant on power pool ofc). Ssoy is great for off hand or was, now that the new 100 plus proc weps are in, well they are putting heritage items to shame!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Bloodlet bow does indeed top out all bows atm, its has a larger damage base rating than prisitne cedar but doesnt have the hp/power stats. Will be intresting to parse a player made bow with the new proc...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So if i was 30 again? Id put my head down and gain PGT and manastone again as fast as possbile. it was ismply game changing! Im hoping that Golden Eff boots means i can finally put mu PGT on my wall of fame, till then? Im keeping it firmly grasped in me hands.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Agreed, I finished my PGT last night and OMG, it's night and day.  I wish I had completed it before reaching 39, but some things just don't pan out, I was burned out on heritages.  Don't let this happen to you! get your PGT ASAP!  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, something else to note regarding PGT, you will have to complete the Cove of Decay - Prison Break series of quests that starts with freeing the centaurs in RoV.  The two follow-up quests are a pain, especially the third because of the difficulty of finding Windfeather up.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cove of Decay only requires one person to have access, so if you are ready to kill Octogorgon and have not finished up the access quest you might want to consider the route I chose.  I was in a hurry because I had friends there at the zone ready to help so I posted in the auction channel offering 15g for someone with CoD access to get my group inside.  I recieved a reply right away, the player grouped up, zoned us in, handed him the gold, and he gated out.  Easy as pie.  The 15g was well worth not having to spend God knows how long trying to hunt down Windfeather and the other named necessary for access.</DIV>

No doubt the PGT is worth it, but this gets so tiring.
