<P>Only one reason I can think of, because I see that totems are attunable now as well... Folks were selling potions/poisons/totems with say 1/6 charges left... and if you wern't careful you would end up getting the short end of the stick on a purchase. </P> <P> </P> <P>LT</P>

Noticed this lastnight too. Can't understand why consumables would be attunable what next arrows and food.
<DIV> <P>I think it was because players were trying to cheat others by selling partially used items (e.g., totems, vials, etc.) as mentioned by Longtrang. That's the only reason why I see this change was made and it makes complete sense. I have never been "taken" by this practice, but I have noticed players selling items (at full price) that were nearly exhausted. If making these particular items attunable will help players avoid getting taken advantage of, then I'm all for it.</P> <P>P.S. The players that sold nearly exhausted items with the intent of cheating other players should be mass ignored. That's my story, and I'm sticking with it.</P></DIV>
I can understand the change, as a Woodworker doing a booming business in SoW Totems I sold the one I had used a couple charges off the other night by accident, I didn't notice the difference when I went through and priced my new inventory and the next morning every Totem was gone. I felt guilty over letting out a partial but there was no way to backtrack who bought it. <div></div>

<font size="2">I hadn't even thought of that. I guess it does make sense after all. Thanks for your replies everyone.</font> <div></div>

This happened to me on an Otter totem. I didn't notice it had only 1 charge left. And to top it off I found out at the same time that combat breaks the enduring breath buff. So within less than a minute I had no totem, -50 silver and a lost shard! So attunable totems/poisons...Good move SOE!

He drops his pack, stretches, and closes his eyes, letting his other senses roam the nearby forest. His sensitive ears and keen feline nose detect no hostile signs. Satisfied that he has cleansed the area of filthy gnoll scum, he decides to make camp for the evening and unpacks with practiced ease. After preparing his dinner, he leans back against the knotted trunk of a large maple and settles in for a delicious meal of fresh-grilled deer steak and wine. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>He raises the food to his lips only to find his arm immobilized just before the bite reaches his mouth. He reaches for his wineskin and attempts to drink - but his hand freezes just before his lips reach the bottle. Fearing hostile magic, he again scans the area for signs of intruders, and detects only a small family of badgers in a nearby hollow tree. He attempts eating again and finds the same problem...he cannot consume his food or drink. </FONT></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>It is then that an arcane phrase in a strangely-familiar language appears in his mind, seemingly from another world:</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2><EM>"You must attune this item before you can use it!"</EM></FONT></DIV>
<DIV>Very funny post, Kaeros! We need more humor in these forums:smileyvery-happy:</DIV>
<P><FONT size=2>Thanks Doncun. Apparently it was funny enough to inspire your first-ever post? Eww.</FONT></P> <P><FONT size=2>(That said...would kerra use gigantic litter-boxes? Okay, I'll stop now...)</FONT></P>
