<DIV><FONT size=2>Whoah there, slow down a second - make a new character? <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> C'mon now! Gotta have a little perseverance if you're going the ranger route. Hehe...</FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>Anyway, you should be able to find plenty of solo mobs in the early part of TS, b/w Tower 2 and the docks, even down to Bridge Keep and the various gnoll craters around. Bears, gnolls, undead, other wildlife. There's plenty of enraged animated scarecrows wandering around as well. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>If you feel you're just having a hard time soloing period - like you can't take down a blue or green on your own - that's a different story altogether, and we need to help you with tactics, not game locations. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Good luck!</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>ya i am a lvl 20 ranger and i have can't even take down a white con mob in TS.  Kinda sad cuz i had an easier time solo'ing with my wizard and he has crap armor and less hp.  i am using just about every ability i have and i am still getting owned by any solo mob in TS.</DIV>

<DIV><FONT size=2>Soloing higher-level mobs is tough, especially when just starting a new area like TS. Make sure you have PF and poison on at all times, and work on kiting as best you can with your bow. (The problem at 20 or so is that you just don't have many bow attacks yet.) Open with skills like Back Shot or Wounding Shot, run backwards and queue Triple Shot, then cycle if you can keep your distance. You should be able to take their health down to yellow before closing in to melee. At that point, use every trick in your book - work your HOs, use Cheap Shot (and turn off melee with ~ key) to stun them so you can circle around and flank attack, and against single enemies you can use Stalk > disable melee > Shadowflame if you queue them fast enough. </FONT></DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2></FONT> </DIV> <DIV><FONT size=2>Other rangers will have good advice and tips as well - you might want to rename your thread to "need help soloing post-20" or something to that effect. Good luck <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></FONT></DIV>

If you run to tower 2, then turn away from the coast, they just added a lot of 'baby scarecrow" (forgot the name). They were green to me at 25 and an easy kill with a few chest drops

<DIV>When you make level 20, you need to make the switch from light armor to medium armor. It's more than just AC. Medium armor mitagates much more damage than light armor. What that means is that when you do get hit, you don't get hit as hard if your wearing medium. The same is true going from medium to heavy armor. Tanks don't have all that many more hitpoints, but they do have more damage mitigation.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Second, pump your agility as high as you can. Higher agility means higher damage avoidance which means not getting hit as often.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Make sure you are using poison. Poison increase syour DPS tremendously. There are several posts on this board about the use of poison.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Use your ranged attacks. Keeping range means getting hit less.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Use higher quality arrows. Carbonite arrows are not all that expensive and once you get the skill to scrounge makeshift arrows that helps to defray the cost a great deal.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
