Bow usage question

Ok I am sure someone has explained this already but I am new to the class. I am just a 13 predator atm but I notice when I use my bow I sometimes very often hit for 2 or 3 times when I use it once then hit meele. Is this normal? Also can anyone explain how I have grouped with rangers with my 28 guardian and I have seen them on many ocasions hit a target for 4 to 6 times in a single round with his bow. I do not understand how the whole bow thing works because my guardian pulls with a bow and only hits once.

They're meatshields, not archers. Rangers are intended to deliver the most ranged attack damage in the game. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></FONT><BR>

i get that rangers are suposta be that etc but what i do not get is I did not see myself get a new skill but i am doing up to 3 hits per bow pull right now.

<DIV>Are you using poison?  if so some poison's will proc twice when you hit, once is usually higher then the other.  The one I use now hits for 92 then for 39 then does like 25 per tick.  So it would be 2 hits for poison one for the bow hit.  Just my thoughts.  If not using poison I ain't gotta clue, but I'd keep quiet about it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also if your not using poison, starting now, allow me /slap you.</DIV>

oh my predator is now 17 and has open shot app 4 and i love using the purple poisons and seeing several nice hits at once.
