<DIV>Even though I'm a dirge I figured I would ask this here as rangers seem to be the arrow experts. :smileyvery-happy: Has anyone noticed any difference in damges between the different vendor arrow levels (iron, carbonite etc). I know that some of the raid level monsters have immunity to certain types but for me that's not a worry right now.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Martin</DIV>

Just newb here myself (level 19 predator) but I currently use Iron hunting arrows normally, however I bought some cheap tin arrows to practice with. While my group was out hunting I ran out of my iron arrows and started using my tim arrows and my backshot and openshot CAs seemed to do a lot less damage. When my backshot did well with the iron arrows I would get over 100dmg with it but with my tin arrow I rarely saw anythinbg over 50. I have read posts that say CA dmg has nothing to do with weapon dmg but this is what I observed.

<DIV>the types of arrows do make a big diff in amount of damage.  The arrows are teired about the same way as the weapons are.  Example: tin<iron<carbonite< ......</DIV>

<DIV>If this helps, here is the dmg from tier 1 to tier 3 arrows on my swashbuckler's strangling shot ( against white-yellow ^^ giants in TS)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tin Arrows: 60dmg x2</DIV> <DIV>Iron Arrows: 90dmg x2</DIV> <DIV>Carbonite Arrows: 120dmg x2 </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Those numbers are just an average. But arrow material makes a huge difference. Damage types ( piercing slashing crushing) also play a factor, so getting slashing arrows vs piercing arrows can have a positive effect against some mobs, and be worse on others. </DIV>

<DIV>No modifier in the name = piercing</DIV> <DIV>Hunting = slashing</DIV> <DIV>Rounded = blunt </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I figured I would expand upon the info a bit.</DIV>
