<DIV>For the few minutes I could already play earlier, Longshank didn't work yet opposed to what SOE wrote. My test was not entirely representive though.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I attacked 2 grey mobs (Antonica Gnolls near Lighthouse) with a combination of "useability Longshank", "/autoattack off" and a queued "/useability Tanglehorn" (doesn't need rear attack). As mobs agroed already on Longshank as supposed and I hoped they couldn't break stealth without hitting me, I both times got the message that I would need to be stealthed for the second attack. This combination used with Shrouded Strike.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So I strongly assume that, unless I was unlucky on the test, Longshank does not work yet.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Natural Selection though works great in a way you will see later on. Just don't post anything about it <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV>

If you're in stealth and a mob swings and misses you, it still breaks stealth and won't allow you to cast an ability requiring stealth. This has always been in the game.

<DIV>How the heck did this fix make it into the patch notes? Guess we found out how much they have looked into our issues. </DIV>

<DIV>Next mistake will be that they make Longshank work like Pouncing Attack, with is slightely bugged itself (stackability with the follow up attack), and not as smooth as Shrouded Strike.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You'll see <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV><p>Message Edited by Teleria on <span class=date_text>03-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:09 AM</span>

<DIV>I think the biggest problem here is that there are no high level people really on the test server and no high level rangers..  So realistically tey can only implent a fix but it cant really be tested till patch goes live..</DIV>

<DIV>OMG, you are kidding. Are the developers NERF NERF NERF NERF NERF (helps the filtering system do its work)? Have you tested natural selection? </DIV>

<DIV>As long as the Devs / Mods don't read this board: Do NOT post about Natural Selection! Just DON'T do it! (Not that there is a possible exploit, but there is a nice little feature now which I don't want to have nerfed.)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As far as their testing, hell, they are not depending on the Test server people, those are - if at all - helping them to test. I do expect that SOE, if they change something as small as a skill, they log onto the test server themselfes, create a char of appropriate level and class and test it themselves for at least a few setups. As for a programmer's language: During the User Test, no mistake should occur anymore. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My god, saying a reported bug is being fixed and then it turns out that it wasn't even touched nor tested at all, that must be so embarassing. But SOE seems to be proud of that as long as their record of doing just that reaches back.</DIV> <DIV>This somehow reminds me of Bill Gates presenting that new version of Windows back then and getting a Blue Screen during the presentation...</DIV>

<DIV>Natural Slection works fine now and actually does damage, i think the bonus the previous poster is talkign about is the fact its on its own timer so you can use it with pounce etc.. </DIV>

<DIV>LOL sorry they dont read ranger forums anyhow wasnt until a complete list of broken ranger skills were posted in the Abilities forum that SOE did anything about it..   And im sure this is way down thier list of priorities to fix..   </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then again its a kinda nerf fix so will proly be fixed b4 longshank... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I may start a petition to make feral instincts a 15 min buff ...  Its the best buff we have and only gets us 30 secs which sux.. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So make it 15 mins with 5 sec reset on it, also lower the reset on steady aim to 5 secs its a 15 min buff and when it runs out we gotta w8 ages before we can recast it... </DIV>

<DIV>Hehe, we needed those AEs to be on different timers anyway. =p I have both on my hotkey-bar XD</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Otherwise we will have no ranger spells. (ughh... I wish we didn't get storm of arrows but something like critical shot or headshot... 5000 damage style) Storm of arrows is such a..... waste of arrows. <--- goes off and makes a macro. "Waste of Arrows"  /g Wasting Arrows! ; /usea Storm of Arrows</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And like we said, "developers don't read this board anyway" lol.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Neecha, can you petition to make those spells to use up a conc slot and be left on for 12 hours instead? =p</DIV> <DIV>We all have 2 conc slots that can't be used. Predatory Instincts and Steady Aim XD</DIV> <P><SPAN class=time_text>OMG,so ignore what I said just now -.-"</SPAN></P><p>Message Edited by CyberEva on <span class=date_text>03-09-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:58 AM</span>
