Sorry to hear that. Sorry to see you goIm still living in the hope that they will do something to our class, a huge improvement, a huge fix, anything that makes it fun again (at high level)The more Good-bye posts in here, and the more subscriptions cancelled, the more likely it is that soe will open their eyes and look here. And do something. Because ... if too many quit, they dont earn money, and money is their only motivation to develop the game. So you have at least 1 who care. For 2 more months....

Graydeng, my guildy and fellow befallen ranger, you're making a huge mistake. Rangers in eq2 have so much potential, and if you can't survive a class that isn't even THAT bad till an expansion, then I'm sorry but you aren't dedicated. To everyone that quits because their class sucks, wait till you go to WoW and realize that every mmorpg has these problems, and they even balanced for pvp. You're going from being in one of the top guilds in EQ2 to a game with no high end content. Unfortunately by the time you realize this you'll be so far out of the high end loop to even attempt to come back to the level you played at.Quitting isn't showing SoE anything. You're not setting an example. You're giving up, and that's really all there is to it. I played a wizard to 60 in eq1 pre-luclin, and I dealt with more [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] class balancing than any eq2 class could ever take. Imagine other players not being able to see your damage, having less utility than any eq2 class, and never being able to find groups. It seriously blows that you went from being the 4th ranger on our server that would have hit 50 in the top guild on the server to a game that won't even compare once the first expansion hits. Our entire guild is going to finish deception this week, and with glowy weapons in hand, we'll remember that you could have been there. Good bye and good riddance.

<DIV>I for one am so glad to see people leaving the game, just like the lvl 35 bard that quit because they made everything attunable and really stuck it to SOE by giving all his "I'll be darned if I'm going to attune this crap" gear to my totally unsuspecting lvl 19 ranger.  So good bye, good bye, and if you're on Najena be sure to drop off all your unattuned gear, unscribed Adepts, or any cool player crafted loot with me I have 4 representatives located for your ease with 2 each in freeport and qeynos. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My Main</DIV> <DIV>Oolan Woodswraith 23 Wood Elf Ranger</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>and the supporting cast...</DIV> <DIV>Purrfict 11 Kerra Cleric</DIV> <DIV>Siklea 12 Dark Elf Sorceror</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>comic relief....</DIV> <DIV>Blog 12 Ogre Warrior</DIV>

<DIV>It is sad to see how shortsighted some individuals are.  Like people who would quit over a system that "may" inconvenience them slightly but "will" better the overall system as a whole greatly.  Or individuals who quit over some issues which may or may not be that big of a deal when there are soooo many good things to enjoy in the game.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Kaedian - 40 ranger</DIV> <DIV>Unrest</DIV>

<DIV>The good thing about people like him leaving is less complaints that have to be read.    Ya, Rangers need to be fixed some.  But quitting isn't the way to get it done.   I still like my ranger and will keep playing my ranger for a long time to come.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Laeani Spytfyre</DIV> <DIV>43 Ranger</DIV> <DIV>Wrath</DIV> <DIV>Unrest Server</DIV>

<DIV>seems to me that people had it too easy and now got the hump cos they are no longer the best and rather than trying to make themselves better they throw their rattles out of their pram and leave.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>cya</DIV>

<DIV>I installed WoW also but i kept my EQ2 account and i must say...WoW is extremely fun. I havent even thought about logging back into EQ2 since i got WoW. I do keep reading the forumns to see what is happening with this game and hope that alot of issues are fixed for the people who stuck it out.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>GL</DIV>

<DIV>Amusing to see all the ' go away ' messages from folk who haven't reached the problem area yet. This knee-jerk 'you're quitting so we will abuse you' is almost as irritating as people threatening to quit but not doing it. Now <U>they</U> deserve pain.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So many folk are all happy with the class til they realise exactly how massive cost + effort required to play a ranger well is rewarded 45 + by being substandard in anything but running away. I'd advise changing characters rather than giving up but rangers as they stand should suit only hard-core masochists as 50 approaches.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So, /wave and may your death bring attention to the plight of others. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
