<DIV>When not tanking, my paladin was outdamaging assassins and rangers of the same lvl against double arrow up yellow golems in Ruins of Varsoon last night. Both predators were using poisons and bow skills. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>PWNed. Enough said. =p</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please fix us. </DIV>

<DIV>Well i have stopped playing my ranger almost completely now, </DIV> <DIV>instead focusing to my berserker toon which imho rocks the socks compared to my ranger...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Then again, i would love to play the ranger, just... *sigh*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>++Xan</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Oh</DIV> <DIV>This is even more disturbing.,..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I thought Rangers at low and mid level was quite ok. At least my ranger at level 1 to 40 was ok. It was first at 40+ I started to notice that I severly lacked. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Locs like the whole scout class need a revamp, or upgrade then. Including Assassins.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I put away my ranger now, I sorta gave up when a necro pet owned by a necro 2 levels below me, was out-dpsing me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I had indium arrows with me, and decided to burn those 3 gold to find out if it is worth it. Only by using those arrows and spamming bow specials and melee specials til my nose turned blue, I could cope with the necro - dps. (Inlcuding highest level crafted poison i can get) But that made me steal agro of course.....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Btw, it feels good whining now, since we "all" agree something is wrong with Ranger atm.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Until fixed, Ill play my lvl 13 warlock. Warlock is FUN. Ranger isnt anymore.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

And Predators before them rock too.</P> <P>At around 32 people will wonder more and more per added level why Fighters outdamage them, I remember it well myself, all including myself thought it was an exception, but this exception occured more and more the more I leveled. Granting I always refused to pay for my damage, so I nearly never used poisons and only the arrows I got from skills like MSA and RIP. Back in that time also Sorcerers and Conjurers started to suck more and more DPS-wise.</P> <P>At the time I was in RV and everyone but Scouts started to get and use Hiero Crooks, no Scout could outdamage a Fighter anymore, Guardians barely, Monks/Bruisers never unless we fully unloaded and they were AFK or doing just basic melee.</P> <P>Then the Agi nerf came.</P> <P>Then I hit 50 and saw a lvl 50 Monk solo blue ^ ^ in EF and PF while a grey ^ ^ EF sheep killed me.</P> <P>Then the Str nerf came, but at that time I didn't really hunt anymore since there was no real point in it unless to finish heritages or other quests. Cash was gotten still by harvesting mostly.</P> <P>Then the tradeskill adjustment came, and I started to craft, harvesting goods dropped in prices... guess now it money is gained from Crafting Tier XYZ rare stuff or farming mobs for vendor drops and rare chances for chests or whatever.</P> <P> </P> <P>I can just say...</P> <UL> <LI>I am a DPS class</LI> <LI>I have near to null utility to offer</LI> <LI>I can tank almost as bad as a Mage Subclass</LI> <LI>I have to pay for big parts of my DPS</LI> <LI>I have more restrictions than any other class but my partner class Assassin, at least to the extend I have them (force for stealth, positioning, poisons and arrows as consumables)</LI></UL> <P>and also Medium Armor, Piercing weapons and Scout Adept 1 skills seem to be [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] rare compared to other classes (back when I was regularly in PF, I got several lvl 50 Paladin and others skills). Mostly it is heavy, light and very light stuff that drops, also blunt, fist, 1h slash and 2h weapons, if at all.</P> <P>So in the end, doing all this, behaving like all restrictions force me to and after all the Agi and Str nerfs, I do/have...</P> <UL> <LI>less damage than some fighters</LI> <LI>less damage than Sorcerers which don't suffer from any restrictions, have more utility but tank a bit worse</LI> <LI>less tanking power than fighters (as supposed)</LI> <LI>less taunting power than fighters (as supposed)</LI> <LI>less utility than about anyone else (also as supposed I guess)</LI> <LI>overall less solo power than most (I just cannot backstab when soloing a mob somehow or use archery conveniently <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</LI></UL> <P>To all Rangers that want to have fun with their class at mid to high level I would suggest to group with an Assassin once in a while. Their piercing/defense debuffs (whatever they have) really benefit our attacks, it is fun to see my damage go up so much when an Assassin is in the group (still below Monks though)...</P>

<DIV>Oh no the whole scout class is doomed at level 30 now as 2 players who MUST have had the best kit, poisons and using their skills correctly was being out DPS by a same lvl pally. Sorry but i dont believe it. I got a 34 pally and a 30 ranger and the DPS from my ranger is MUCH MUCH higher than when my pally was 30.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yeah im sure it will go downhill at later levels due to buying arrows and poisons but at 30 no way i simply dont believe it</DIV>
<DIV><FONT size=2>Thanks for starting a thread specifically for griping (and labeled as such). I really do appreciate it. (Sincerely - I'm not being sarcastic.)</FONT></DIV>

<DIV> <DIV>Heh, well said Teleria! Please fix us devs. =)</DIV> <DIV>Hehe, exact same cycle too. Already not so good class, BAM agility nerf. Already sucking class, BAM strength nerf. Already not leveling and went to do Tradeskills, BAM Tradeskills nerf. My EQ2 career so far was just nerf nerf nerf. (did I say woodworking sucks?)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Please read, I was't tanking. =P It makes a big difference when I was behind the mob and the thing couldn't parry. I won 9/10 fights. The assassin beat me once in a while, and everyone knows why. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Now, I don't know if they were the best players or not, but one thing I am sure is that they were surely draining their power. Lvl 30 Poisons, Carbonite/Feiyron arrows, and uses all their attack styles. I dunno how else you can do to up your damage *shrug*</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The fight always ended up as, Sorcerer > Paladin > Tanking Bruiser > the 2 predators > healer who wasn't doing damage. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The bruiser did pretty much same damage as my paladin, probably 100 less only each fight because she was tanking. If my paladin was tanking, my overall damage per fight will drop behind the 2 predators. (that maximized our damage output because when I tanked the bruiser damage went up, but my damage went WAY WAY down)</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yeah, the assassin was almost always outdamaging the ranger (8/10 fights probably). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My paladin can solo green double arrow ups. My ranger? pfft. -.-" </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV></DIV>

<DIV>I've retired my ranger at 45 - total disaster of a class. Reaching 44 and realising that all skills until 48 are either broken or useless was hardly inspiring.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Started a berserker since their forum area is all happy sweetness and light. </DIV>
