View Full Version : Steady Aim on the list but only lasts for 36 seconds
Steady Aim was on the list of spells to get upgraded in duration. Currently (and previously) it lasts 36 seconds with a 10 or 15 minute recycle (cant remember), it also takes 2 conc. Its a spell that doesnt get an upgrade and adds quite a bit to the ranged skill. I was excited when i saw it was going to be made useful, but i guess it went the way of LS and NS and doesnt get a spot on my hotbars <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

i was suprised too. I hope others can confirm what the 2 of us are seeing. weird. Come on SOE, fix some of the ranger skills.

You are both correct it still only lasts a very short time. After they've spent so much time and effort nerfing rangers what makes you think they would do any thing to make them better?Oh and heres something else i noticed last night after patch. Impede, i have it at adept 1, it lands everytime but wears off instantly 90% of the time (icon disapears within a second) even against grey mobs. Ok so I only tried it about a dozen times before I got [Removed for Content] off with it. Maybe I was just unlucky. I've gotta say I'm so dispondant about playing my ranger now, I mostly enjoy soloing and the class is the least soloable of all. I have a warlock, paladin and warden all of these i can take on mobs which will give some experience ie whites/yellows/oranges (even reds with the warlock). Green mobs have nearly killed my ranger after the string of nerfs aimed at rangers. The ranger wasn't even as soloable as the other classes before the nerfs. I'm obviously going to get some smart [FAAR-NERFED!] say its because of this/ that or the other that I'm doing. Well i have complete pristine yellow/orange equipment, mostly adept 1's or app4's if not, I know how to use poision, kite, HO's and the stun/jump/stalk/backstab routine. (even though thats a very hit and miss afair, stuns don't always work, poison sometimes interupts, lag, slight mistiming, etc.) Grouping is the only way now for me to exp with the ranger. I know they nerfed agility because of Uber ellite groups with super buffs making tanks un hitable, but at the same time solo playing doesn't give you access to that level of power. Funny how this was all brought into effect the same time as they said that they wanted to make the game more solo player friendly....lol

yesterday i was having trouble with shrouded strike, after the first one any other time i used it would not put me in stealth mode. sigh, really thinking that going wizard/provisionar is the way to go. Rangers and alchemists have been getting the short end of the stick long enough.

My caster's root has the same exact problem. No matter how many times I use it, the [FAAR-NERFED!] things breaks after 1/2 a second... not even enough time to get one spell off.
Yeah, looks like it wasnt fixxed, however Take Aim, the lvl 36 upgrade to it should be addressed as well, in my opinion

And they are on different timers.I think Steady aim was suppost to be something like a alltime running buff to make our archery better but got mixed up with the Take Aim line of skills.
