<DIV>I'm a 29 ranger and feel basically that all the classes in EQ2 are too similar. It makes the game boring. This game does not excite me at all like eq1 did and I've been thinking as to why that is. Some ranting....</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) Any group for the most part is the same..slamming damage at a mob to level up as long as a healer and tank are there. </DIV> <DIV>2) There for the most part is no risk to dying </DIV> <DIV>3)Magic resists can easily be at 800 by 25 level making casters no threat. </DIV> <DIV>4) Seems everyone has a evac or port spell to get around...no comitting to adventuring when you can whisk home by clicking your two heals together. ( There is something exciting about being way out there and having no way back except a walk or finding that one class who might be able to port you. makes preparing for a journey exciting.)</DIV> <DIV>5)Classes desperately need to be more individualized. Perhaps think about giving a ranger damage bonuses if outdoors and be able to get group invis with swift movement outdoors. Give him a roll penalty indoors and give the rogue and assasin the bonus there with the rogue getting the most bonus in dungeons. Something along those lines.</DIV> <DIV>6) Put PVP zones or Arenas in for gods sake!!!</DIV> <DIV>7) The game is beautifull but getting boring fast.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>While I do agree with some of the things you said, the thing that most caught my attention would be adding the outdoor bonus, and neg indoor bonus. This would hinder certain groups from adding you in certain places. They might take a Swash over a ranger becuase he has a negative indoor, and vise versa outdoor.</DIV> <DIV>Just a thought. I'm not a whiner when it comes to things like this, and I agree that it would help w/ the actual bases of the classes, but the outcry would be hugh for putting certain classes above/under advntages in different areas.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah...perhaps Rangers function as normal and the other class just gets the bonus indoors. The idea here is to really make each class truly different than others in certain situations....as we all are in RL. As it is , it's way to homoginized. DULL.</DIV>
Hrm spell resistance, even at 800 at lvl 25, if your not fighting solo caster mobs, you will still get hit by there spells. As for bonuses for outdoors, negs indoors, that just needs to be thrown out the window. There might not be a "risk" when you die, but considering that we actually need to go back and get our essence, and if you cant, you're actually in alot of trouble, because the missing shard really does hinder you, and at later lvls, you can't just group with a lvl 50 to get the zone grayed out to you. I remeber when I did my betrayal, the missing essense did effect me, sure we dont have to do "corpse" runs anymore, but you still need to go back and get that essense, and when you die in a bad area, the exp penalty can really stack, although at later lvls, you will rarely die in a group, because players become more confidant and know what to do, etc. I would like to see areanas and a /duel command, make people fighting over nodes alot more interesting, but I personally don't play an MMO to pvp, SWG killed that... and pvp zones, thats too WoWish with there contested areas on there pvp servers, but I think Freeport and Qeynos should be more at war, maybe you can turn on a PvP flag and fight other players from opposing factions, etc, actually now that I think about it, have contested zones between freeport and qeynos, and the factions with the higher numbers in the zone, get an exp bonus, etc, or make it so you need to kill certian NPC mobs in a quest format, instead of other players, because I would personally hate getting jumped while just out lvling... dunno, this game does have alot of pvp potential, but I would rather see em on a Pvp server, which this game does need, I personally wouldnt play on it, but I see where you are comming from, and I am sure the Devs are working on it as well, considering the popularity of the pvp servers in EQ1.

<DIV>Rents,</DIV> <DIV>I love the idea of playing up FP/Q tension and the contested zones. Interesting idea</DIV>

<DIV>Tressle -</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I humbly suggest that you're missing out on a lot of what the game has to offer. It sounds like you've fallen into the trap of doing nothing but xp hunting. Perhaps these ideas might appeal to you: </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Get the Hadden's Earring quest and take a group into Nektropos Castle to hunt down Lord Everling. You'll have some exciting fights without the safety net of evac there; if you get wiped out you'll have to wait until another day to try again.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Get the "The Journey is Half the Fun" quest and see if you can beat the clock in all the zones it takes you to. Don't read the spoiler sites - do it just from what you're told in game. I promise you'll find plenty of danger along the way.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try to get as many Legend & Lore trophies as you can.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Harvest among swarms of red-con mobs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Work on guild writs. Work on raids. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Try to be the first to discover a bunch of items on your server.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Learn the ebb & flow of the market, and try to make money by clever buying and selling.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Transfer to the Test server and look for exploits with all the new code (and report them with pride when you find them!).</DIV>
