As soon as I was able to I went and did my Willow Wood quest and picked up the dagger. I ended up getting the blade from someone else. I had been using these for quite awhile until I had enough money to buy a steel stilletto. I also just got a steel rapier. My question is if it is really that big of a difference to use two piercing weapons instead of one piercing and one slashing? And if you all do suggest that it would be better for one slashing and one piercing what would be a nice replacement for my rapier or stileto?
<DIV>Over time there is no difference. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As long as you have levelled up both your Piercing and your Slashing skills there is not major plus or minus to both. The first defuffs you get are for piercing, but as you level you debuffs for both piercing and slashing. Some mobs are more vulnerable to one or the other, but you have to be quick on your feet and carry to sets to get any benefit out of that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Pick the best weapon on stats and damage and make sure your skills are up on both. The rest will sort itself out.</DIV>

Well first off, at level 24 I got myself a Blood-etched Talon, which is a Sai of some type by the looks of it. Excellent weapon for this range. I pair that with a Giant Pickaxe, which has a huge STR buff. I would say keep one of each around only because there are some mobs that take more damage from a certian type. If you use two daggers, keep an axe in your bag so if you are working an area of pierce resistant mobs, you can change up....On the same note, the hunting arrow line is a slashing arrow, also usefull for getting the most damage in....
