Agility Nerf/Armor Look is not Good

<DIV>A couple of statements I want to make about the patch.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really don't like the agility nerf.  I created a Kerra Ranger because the race/class is a beautiful match but I got spanked by a Giant in Steppes last night while trying to run away.  8-0 was his record for hitting me while I was sprinting away.  I never engaged this guy either, just running thru and drew aggro.  I have been chased by these guys many times on all my toons (wiz, pally, conjuror) but I could at least flee the encounter with my life, even on my wiz, my ranger was no exception until yesterday.  I don't expect to evade everything but evading nothing is going a little far.  I am a lvl 22 Ranger being chased by a lvl 24 mob, there is no reason I shouldn't be able to escape from a pursuing mob when I had a significant head start.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The armor look change for Pristine Forged Carbonite Chainmail is horrible.  I now look like a teen level crusader running around in tier 2 iron chainmail.  I worked hard to achieve my level and it would be nice if I could be distinguished from somone who is say level 10.  What was wrong with the other armor appearance?  I thought it had a nice clean, lighweight look.  The new look is very barbaric looking, not something I would expect to see a ranger wearing, that is for sure.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My two coins worth.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Jagtara on <span class=date_text>02-02-2005</span> <span class=time_text>08:26 AM</span>

Try getting the quest armor, you should be able to get a few pieces at lvl 22. It looks sweet after the patch IMHO. Remeber, from what you said, you have the basic carbonite stuff, if that is the case, then it is supposed to look worse than the other types like quested, pristine forged, and rare drop. That way, after all the work to get the cool stuff, you don't still look like every other guy out there. I guess that instead of just making the better armors cooler looking, they kinda skunked up the basic pieces, but hey, more incentive to get the Tradelink stuff. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I don't really like the new armor look either. I was really happy to get rid of my chain pants for the AQ5 chain skirt, but the new armor has me back in pants. It's terrible - shows off my big butt. Can't I have anything to cover it up? I feel so.... nekked...

ah. Well then. Still, should be better than a friend of mine who is a lvl 18 monk, his nice armor with a dragon on it and everything now looks like an 80s bright orange cutoff sweatshirt. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I think they will tone down the bad armor changes here soon, I still say it's better to address a problem and take a few tries to get it right that to never try to fix it.
