<DIV>I mean, we are rangers, and we do hunt and use the shadows at the same time.  Why do i never see black, on any class for that matter, what happened to black?  Anyone have any screens of black armor/clothing?  I looked for hours on other websites too, and cant find a thing thats black, even the blackeded items are not black, lol, go figure, lol.</DIV>

<DIV>I'm impressed by how absurd your disappointment is.   Function over form.  I don't care if the armor is orange...as long as it works.</DIV>

<DIV>Well more likely for us to be wearing a offish green and brown natural colors armour. Since we are rangers we are more suited for outdoors not shadows (yes we use the shadows but we are not assasins)</DIV>

<DIV>Wanting more diversity in general is not a bad thing.  Right now, I look exactly the same as every other scout class except on the off occasion I end the fight with my bow drawn so it displays on my back and an arrow in my hand. :smileytongue:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Spellbound black iron gear is dark red (I mean dark too). but as far as I know, only gloves and boots exist, and you wont wear the boots too long, because Jboots are only three levels higher. And I agree, I hate the copy/paste look of the classes/skills/gear/spells/techs/looks. It is too bad having armor variatiosn based on race and class both would be too intensive on alotted txture memory space, but they should have kept EQ1s race based armors, it is awful that everyone wears the same thing just refitted (at least for generic armors, I can see the logic for a random bp found on dungeon mob_01, though I still dont like that idea either). And not everyone cares about min maxxing, I would choose soemthing that had substantial looks over minor stats, as long as it was not a major factor in determining my usefulness to my group. (like say tanks wearing light armor would be)Merkades

<DIV>Vecsus,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I hear ya on "function over form" regarding armor, if I am in a desperate fight, I don't care if I am wearing hot pink leather boots, a leather corset and  flaming purple codpiece as long as I win....BUT... lets expect the devs to use some freaking logic on creating some wild but still practical choices of color.  I mean, unless I am sneaking around the flower parade, pink and purple don't really mix, practically or fashionably.  You don't have to work for Calvin Klein or Fredricks of Hollywood to come up with some really sweet black, brown, gold, silver, gray outfits.  </DIV>

<DIV>For those who "dont care about the look of the armor as long as it works", you might like Lineage2 then, everyone looks the same, and most of the armor is the same for every grade up you go.  There can be 20 different types of armor at say, level 40, but 10 of the look exactly the same, but with different stats.  So, if you dont care about it, then try lineage2.  Other wise, if you dont voice your opinion at all, THIS game will never evolve to a nice, well rounded, and fun from top to bottom type game.  Im not being picky at all, im going with the flow of things if you think about it for  a sec.  I played eq1, and in that game, which by the way is OLDER then this one, you can wear MANY types of armor and look very different at almost ANY LEVEL.  It seems to me, that what they did with the look of the armor NOW in this NEW game, is go BACKWARDS in time and make it worse by making everyone look too similar or exactly the same.  Im sorry about being human and not wanting to eat the same food out of the same bowl every day, all year long for the rest of my life.  </DIV>

<DIV>Ya I would like to also see a large library of designs, but like others have stated, this game is new.  EQ1 has several expansions and patches under its belt spanding several years.  The models and mechanics released is merely a template of whats to come.  I expect this world to grow very large over time just as the first everquest continent expanded.  Give it time, I bet we see a lot more advances in models and textures.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Angst</DIV> <DIV>30 dirge 34 armor</DIV> <DIV>crushbone</DIV>

<DIV>Nope we get no cool looking armor, but dev has posted they making changes to way armor looks,  spellbound is red and kinda goes with an assortement of mismateched red armor, chain is prolly hte best looking, no cloaks.. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Im sure one day they will introduce the ability to dye armor..  i hope so you can at least look matched..</DIV>

<DIV>I think we should have Green armor to camoflage us in with the Forest and the like. I think black and dark armor should be for the assasins.</DIV>

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I think we should have Green armor to camoflage us in with the Forest and the like. I think black and dark armor should be for the assasins.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------We do, the tradelink armor you get between lvl 20 and 25ish are a green tint to metalic armor. Looks a lot better than the pink it used to be, and it still functions the same, so everyone wins. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<DIV>Yeah but Tradelinks metal and I think ranger wearing metal armor is just wrong. We're meant to be agile hunters not clunking around in Metal and chain.</DIV>

<DIV>We now have more of a chance wearing armor composed of these colors all at once: Orange, green, blue, white, red, yellow, and puke pink than anything resembling what a Ranger would wear =(  Keep the faith tough LOL, yeah right.</DIV>
