<DIV>I have checked most of the post acrossthe boards for: scout, predator, and ranger... Am I just not reading right? Or has EQ2 removed any options in trait and training that has to deal with Archery?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Being a Ranger I find it a bit silly that we are not getting any options of improvement in that catagory. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If they do have Options to increase your Archery skills can some list what they are. Please. This whole reroll of skills has had  quite an impact on the community. Seems to be a general feel of displeasure in the way things have been changed.  Almost fear logging in... </DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

Did you come across a description of lvl 30 training abilities too? This is of course pure speculation, but since most good archery abilities start in the 20s, it would make sense that it's one of those that are upgraded.

<DIV>For the lvl 20 training one of my options was a replacement Back Shot that would have added flanking in addition to being right behind the enemy.  I chose the enhanced Hunt ability instead because I've had problems with sneaking lately and it seemed like a decent choice.</DIV>

<DIV>I back shot from the side all the time.  You don't have to be directly behind the mob, just 90 degrees from where it is facing.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeh aslong as your just at an angle off of flank you can use back shot anyway. I picked the buff 20+agi 12 (mayber 13) str Its nice and it buffs ur tracking by +10. I would have liked the hunt move speed increase but chose the buff instead. Also i find that holly tangle thing may be a crap snare but is alright for solo slowing</DIV>

<DIV>I tried to choose abilites that I didn't already have, to add more "utility."  Thus I choose Hager's Befuddling Strike for the stifle component, and I chose Hager's Camoflauge for the increased stealth speed.  (I was really tired of slow crouching through places, heh.)  Glad to see Rangers finally got fast stealth movement.  -hmm, I just realized that I really must like Hager, I must have trained under him.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Here's a list of the traits Blackguard posted:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><STRONG>Predator (Level 10)</STRONG></DIV> <UL> <LI>Hager's Befuddling Strike - An advanced form of Quick Strike. As a bonus to Quick Strike it prevents the target from casting for a brief time. <LI>Elaa's Relentless Ambush - An advanced form of Ambush. As a bonus to Ambush it can be used more frequently and has a quicker cast time. <LI>Holly's Entangling Trap - An advanced form of Ensnare. As a bonus to Ensnare it reduces attack speed of the target. <LI>Vladaminn's Unfair Advantage - An advanced form of Dirty Tricks. As a bonus to Dirty Tricks it costs no power.</LI></UL> <DIV><BR><STRONG>Ranger (Level 20)</STRONG></DIV> <UL> <LI>Tolan's Talent - An advanced form of Hunter's Instinct. As a bonus to Hunter's Instinct it increases strength and tracking. <LI>Holly's Unrelenting Assault - An advanced form of Pierce. As a bonus to Pierce it costs no power. <LI>Maesyn's Critical Shot - An advanced form of Back Shot. As a bonus to Back Shot it allows the ranger to attack from the flank. <LI>Hager's Camouflage - An advanced form of Hunt. As a bonus to Hunt it increases the movement speed while stealthed.</LI></UL> <P>-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------</P> <P>Tolan's Talent sounds pretty good, I'm surprised to see such a large stat boost.  Not bad!</P>

I ended up picking my skills at like 8:00 in the morning, the day they hit, so they didn't ahve all that additional information as to what replaces what etc...so I ended up taking the ambush replacement. I noticed when it flashed my skill choice after confirming my choice, it showed it was adept II. Same thing with the Maesyn's Critical Shot. I mostly group with my guild mates, and the paradigm is that Rangers are the DPS kings (at least for Queynos), so I am pretty happy with these choices, as they help up the DPS. And that's two less skills I have to worry about upgrading, at least for a while. -;]NovalithenSteamfont Serverlvl 21 RangerLegion of Honor
