Rangers - 40+ combat style

hey guys thanks for taking the time to read this, only my second post but ive been playing since launch. Anyhow my question is do rangers EVER get to rely soley on the bow for DPS or are we forever forced to melee 70% of the time and actually use the bow 30% time in fights, i pray that we outgrow our scout melee abilities and rely on our bow near end game (40+) i mean thats why i picked Ranger after allI thank you al for any advice

<DIV>At 32, I can safely say I rely on Ranged attacks for over 50% of most XP mob battles.  For extended named or boss encounters, I end up meleeing a bit more and trying to squeeze out some HOs.  </DIV>
