<DIV>I was just thinking about the /showhood command and how I've seen others post about wanting /showboots for Halflings, etc.  I think it would be great for rangers to have a /showbow command for when we want to run around with a bow strapped to our backs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyone else think this would be cool?</DIV>

<DIV><FONT color=#ff0033>Not a big fan of the way the bows look but if other people do it I'll look that much more unique. Befor I became ranger I was usin throwing knives. I got them cause I thought the satchel would show it didn't I was bummed and when I used backshot a magical bow would appear. I would also like are ranged skills to work on more types of weapons. You know maybe a dwarf ranger if such a thing exists would like to use throwing hammers because he hates bows</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>I've thought of a /showbow command also. That would be a great addition! </DIV>

<DIV>As you are probably aware, whatever weapon you were holding when the encounter ends is what you will stay up until you start the next fight.  Therefore, when I run with groups, I have my bow on my back quite a bit.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This, of course, does not default you to the bow, which is what you really want, but there may be a work around.  I know from time to time I inadvertently press the ~ key and my guy draws his swords thinking I am ordering a melee attack.  Provided I am not in range, and I hit it again, he will put them back and nothing happens (i.e., the encounter does not lock until the first blow lands).  I think this will happen even if you have a PC or an unattackable object targeted.  Therefore, you may want to try experimenting and see if you can target something that cannot be attacked, like a PC, and hit the Ranged Attack button (~ is mapped to Melee Attack).  This may cause your guy to draw his bow and, when you hit Ranged Attack again to end the "encounter," he may put the bow on his back instead of returning it to its hidden state.  Of course, the drawback is that you do not want to do this to something that is attackable.  If you are in range, you will just start attacking.  If you are not, it will just say that you are out of range, and will not draw the bow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Anyway, it is worth a shot, so to speak.  I will try to remember to try it and let you know what I find.</DIV>

/signThis is probably one of the 21,452 small coding errors that could easily be fixed with a little effort. If something like /showhood can be used, there's no reason why this can't.

<DIV>I, like Sotaudi, happen to have my bow show quite frequently while grouping. As for soloing i just try to make sure my last attack is ranged ( stun mob back up a tad and fire ). </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But that being said, I also agree there should be a /showbow command, it would be much easier.</DIV>
