View Full Version : Fury Get Best Invis?
Why do Furies get the best sneak in the game? They get an invis that other scout mobs can not see through... and they can run at full speed... [Removed for Content] is with that?
<DIV>I think they are upset with the Scout class..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Mage invis is full speed and works a little better than Scout Sneaks PLUS no movement restriction</DIV> <DIV>Fury Invis works a LOT better than scout sneaks PLUS no movement restriction</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SK Evac is 15 min reset</DIV> <DIV>Mage Evac 15 min reset</DIV> <DIV>Scout Evac changed to 30 min reset</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>But we get Tracking our ONLY Unique ability now.. Im just waiting for the NERF so we cant see NAMED mobs on track... to make us completely group unfriendly..</DIV>
Well, Scout Evac is superior to the other evac's since we can cast it from anywhere in the zone, and monsters can not interrupt it.

<DIV>Yeah, it seems to me that Rangers/Assasins should get an advanced stealth since being stealthy and sneaking up on opponents is WHAT THEY DO!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We also should get an advanced tracking capability to set us apart from other scouts.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>We don't get a group sneak or mez or group buffs. What makes US different?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Ok, ranged attack, but that is really only helpfull when soloing. When you're in a group it doesn't matter if you are meleeing or using your bow. Using your bow can actually be a hinderance in small crowded areas like dungeons.</DIV>
<DIV> <HR> </DIV> <DIV> <DIV>Mage invis is full speed and works a little better than Scout Sneaks PLUS no movement restriction <HR> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Actually, the mage invis has movement restrictions built in. I play a Coercer and the movement restrictions on my invis seems to be getting better, but I use a different invis than the other mages do. When I'm grouped up with a couple of any of the other mages, I easily outrun them when were all invis (I also have JBoots on).</DIV></DIV>

Agree. Part of the whole reason I chose to be a scout was the stealth factor, and the first time I saw a mage go trotting past me at full speed in stealth, I actually said "what the f---" out loud.
<DIV>I usually try to make meaningful posts or if not meaningful, at least semi-witty.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>All I can say about this topic is IT SUCKS!!!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I love my ranger but I'm starting to feel more and more [Removed for Content] the more I hear about what I'm like at higher levels. I might have to stop calling him my ranger and start calling him my carpenter. oh..nm...my carpenter is [Removed for Content] too.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have this bad habit of always taking the hardest approach to things and try to excel at them. Looks like I've finally met my match with the ranger/carpenter combo. lol.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Btw...I think some folks are confused about something. "At least we can track" is not a differentiation from other classes. All scout classes can track.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1) Can't track red mob so we can't be the uber scout for our guild to search for raid mob.</DIV> <DIV>2) Our sneak is weak so we can't be the uber scouters</DIV> <DIV>3) Our dps is matched by other classes.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>So is our higher level movement speed buff self-only? I bet it is....more sux.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Whatever, I'll keep slinging my arrows...just wish I had something to make me feel special. Especially after seeing a mystic turn into a Giant Beaver and a conjurer turn into a crazy looking ghost moth. Almost every skill I'm gonna get is pretty much something to do more damage maybe with some cool looking attack graphic...a couple of debuffs and some useless self buffs that last 30 seconds and take so long to refresh that I always forget to use them. and no, I'm not going to set alarm clocks next to my pc to time them. lol. Even an upgrade to run speed isn't that thrilling. Oh...maybe it takes us 1 minute to get someplace that takes everyone else 1 minute 10 seconds...OH JOY!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm having a bad ranger day. <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Oh, I forgot to mention that I'm a 25 ranger with zek access and a 24 carpenter. I also have an 11 summoner to be necro and an 11 enchanter. I'm not entirely high level, but I'm high enough to have all my skills...and can only look forward to upgraded versions of them.</DIV>

We use a bow? Great... $$$ Oh I get it... because we <EM>are </EM>a Ranger... I understand the stealth issue - Rangers aren't traditional rogues, therefore we shouldn't have that strong of stealth. In fact, I prefer to call it camouflage. But then give us Animal Affinity or something that we can activate to reduce Threat level on mobs for the entire group... or something...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV> </DIV><p>Message Edited by Ravi on <span class=date_text>12-22-2004</span> <span class=time_text>01:06 PM</span>
