I was in Stormhold with a couple of friends the other night and we were making our wasy to the library to grab the skellie mastery book and the tome. I was in stealth via Hunt and was checking the route before the others came through. Now there were several instances where mobs that were non-agro to me but were agro to them just totally ignored them until I got a fair distance away from the group at which point they started attacking. This was most noticable in the library itself where the wandering mob walked through the middle of the group several times with no effect until I was on the other side of the library grabbing a quest at which point it agroed a group member and killed him.Anybody else noticed this at all?Nul.
<DIV> A Lot of dungeons have AGRO wandering mobs, that dont agro when you go past, however if you get into a fight they WILL agro, they seem to be SOCIAL AGRO mobs that will only agro if your fighting, if not they will leave you alone.. Best to just kill em as you go past so they dont come and rain on your parade later..</DIV>

No they weren't agroíng because we were in a fight, nothing changed except my distance to the rest of the group.Nul.

<DIV>I've noticed this as well, only from the other perspective. Was grouping with members of my guild, one of which was 4 levels higher than myself. Mobs conned as they would to him, and since he was there just helping out on our writs, most of them conned grey. Later though he left the room to complete an access quest futher in, and as he did one of the mobs color changed to green and it aggroed the group. Noone died thankfully but it still happened.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Temporary thread hijack, but have any of you had a problem with, when a member pulls a mob and brings him back, if you activate Hunt before the tank taunts the mobs, you getting aggro you while stealthed?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>~insert nifty banner sig here~ =P</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Tharrec: 19 Predator: Highkeep</DIV>
I think what happens is that mobs aggro when they are on their patrol routes but not when returning to them after being dragged away. This makes a lot of sense, as if I drag a high level mob into a newbie area it would wipe everyone out. What they do is then start making their way back to their normal patrol zone and they don't seem to aggro during this time. Once they get back within range of their "normal" location they will start aggroing again. What you might have seen was a mob that was returning to its home after chasing somebody away. As it waslked past you it ignored your group as it wasn't within range of home. Once it got home though, its aggro code kicked in and it attacked.I could be wrong though !

I also have noticed this when I was lvl 18 or so a group of higher lvl 22ish people invited me to help them kill plague bearers. I noticed that some of the agro mobs that were still quite capable of attacking me just let me be as I traveled to the group. The names had a weird grey hew to them but I took the river route in antonica from Sentry Antoc all the way 2 the Plague spawn points. At first I was alittle worried but by the time I was half way there I was just running through the middle of the camps and they wouldn't attack me. Might be a bug or might be that the gnolls and unkept druids aren't as stupid as they look.
