Here is what I found out, by personally testing it with guildmembers:PATHFINDING------------------- Level 27 Shaman SoW (App3) outran level 25 Ranger Pathfinding.- SK level 22 Horse outran level 25 Ranger Pathfinding- Going to test Jboots soon.I assume and hope that Pathfinding will increase in speed as levels of the player rise. I can not scribe Pf App2 or 3, so I guess that has nothing to do with speed. If a Ranger does not outrun everyone at level 50 (outdoor), it is an outrage! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Seriously, at level 50 a Ranger should be the best within the nature and find the fastest paths... Maybe horses should be above us, but uh.. SoE says that is a "Fun spell". YeahRanger pathfinding should always be > all other scouts / shamans and druids. ------------------TRACKING------------------Not so much research here, rather questions and assumptions.- Will tracking range increase with levels?- Will you be able to track red mobs if you choose the Tracking trait bonus (dont remember which level it is)- Is there any real difference between our tracking and any other scout's tracking? If the answer to those 3 questions are "no", then SoE need to reconsider their developers. If the answer is "yes" to 1 or more, I am pleased <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />------------------I am very pleased with my Ranger. I love being a Ranger. I tried shaman and guardian, but it wasnt for me. Ranger is cool! However:- Ranger get Escape Pathfinding Track Hunt- Assassin get Escape Pathfinding Track Hunt- We are supposedly same DPS.- Ranger is good, Assassin is evil.- Ranger is about ranged and some melee, Assassin is all melee.- Both use poisonI would love to hear from others if there are any abilities that will make the Ranger unique. Or are we supposed to be a predator in the same line as Assassins, with the only difference being that we are good side and use bows?

Well - to answer your question, Assassins and Rangers are supposed to be similar- they both spring from predators. The difference is in the delivery: rangers are about a flurry of lower damage hits, while assassins seem to be about 1 massive melee bomb. Assassin = close range, Ranger = long range. Assassin = evil, Ranger = good. Oh, I chose that tracking upgrade, and I cannot track red con mobs.Plus, I'd rather have a pet hawk than a pet rat. Hawks eat rats.Forester's insight at level 27 increases movement speed and agi. I'm not sure if this is a group buff, if so, it's likely a replacement for pathfinding, if it's a self buff, it'll replace hunter's instinct, and likely stack with pathfinding = uber speed.I'm level 26 now, closing in on 27, I'll post back with results...
<DIV>let us know about the speed increase from foresters. I've gotten realllyyyy busy this week, and although I can SEE it from here, I probably won't hit 27 till january.</DIV>
<DIV>It does not seem to upgrade my speed at all.</DIV>

<DIV>Foresters is a very short buff and cant say i notice speed increase.. the Free jman boots DO stack with Pathfinding and you notice the diference.. <DIV>i think (havnet tried it) that the legendary jboots quest starts from a guy oin the bridge from the north qeynos gate. its called the journey is half the fun and involves running around with a time limit. would make sense to get jboots from there</DIV>
Level 20 Paladin/SK on horse can outrun level 49 Ranger w/ Pathfinding / Legendary Jboots / Whatever run buff it is I have now. Legendary Jboots are not that much faster than pathfinding. If they even are
