View Full Version : Backshot...
Yesterday, during a wonderful grouping in TS, I used back shot and hit for 296 points of damamge, however, on my character website I only recieved credit for a 260 damaged shot. Is anyone else having problems with this...or is it just me?-Cyrius

well since my "highest meele damage" up until now has been done with Gregors old bow i think Ranged non magical damage is couted as meele damage
<DIV>Check back in a half day or so. Sometimes the update is lagged for whatever reason. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And yes, Ranged attacks do count towards high melee hit. My ranged attack was #5 on my server for a week before falling off to Assassin's specials.</DIV>

<DIV>I second that, bow does count as Melee Damage, and It does take about a day sometimes for updates to complete. Mostly on ranks and armor.</DIV>
<DIV>Aye, bow does piercing damage and is regarded as melee damage in their filter I guess.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As for update, I read that it may take up to at least 24 hours for some of the stats to update.</DIV>
nope bow does damage dependant on arrowtype. While Iron arrows do piercing damage rion hunting arrows do slashing <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> doesnt change the fact that bows are counted as meele damage though ^^
<DIV>I have actually seen this too with the web site. I hit a Shadowblade for 386 the other night, but it got recorded as 342 on the website. Not sure why. Perhaps there is a mitigation that floating display misses that actually reduces the damage that the target takes. </DIV>

<DIV>Are you guys using poisons? Perhaps the melee damage doesn't take poison into consideration?</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah the two are seperate. If you watch closely on the numbers floating above the mob, normal damage will be orange and the proced damage will be orange outlined in white</DIV>
yes poison is considered "magical" damage as seen by the light blue outline
