<DIV>Yeah, I came across a guy in-game who's buddy had done multiple quests in beta.. so of course he had all this nice gear, and would charge you silver for information on who to go see..  I ended up paying him 10s one time out of desperation for the starter for the "nighthide tunic".. and he got it wrong anyway.   I don not like people like that at all..</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any time I see good ranger quests, I'll post them here.</DIV>

<DIV>Yeah the ppl that pick charging $$ over giving kindness and info are the ppl that ruin EQ. BUT ppl like that do exist in real life so, maybe they are making the world more real...but i still dont like it.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>helm is nice the 10/10/10 kills quest stuff is pretty cool.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>wheres the gnome printer?</DIV>

<DIV>Nice find Maul, thank you for the information!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>He had stated the gnome primer is in Baubbleshire, just  bring up your map and look for the quill symbol (feather pen thingy) and he will be in there as "scribe" so and so</DIV><p>Message Edited by duc748 on <span class=date_text>12-10-2004</span> <span class=time_text>08:54 AM</span>

Aye I did this quest also at 23, very nice helmet for rangers, especially when you are low on funds like me

<DIV>That's a nice helm, and I'll be looking for that quest when I log back on.  Thanks for the info!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>As a side note, everyone should buy all of the language primers as soon as they can afford them (the primers for each race are sold in that race's township at the Scribe shop, typically for 12s each).  I've run across several NPCs out in the wilderness who don't (or won't) speak Common, and it's annoying as hell when some guy talks to you every time you walk by him but you can't understand what he's saying!  I know I'm missing out on several quests, some of which are probably very good, so I'm going to run around town and buy all the primers as soon as I get the chance.</DIV>

I started this quest after making that last post. and the first 2 parts went great. The third part though is a MONSTER! killing 10 tide octopus which are white 2con to a level 23, is really tough. it's virtually impossible to get a group of 6 to swim out and hunt octopus. Is there an easier way? (eg. solo tide octopus in a part of steppes?)<p>Message Edited by TheBigPilgrim on <span class=date_text>12-12-2004</span> <span class=time_text>07:35 PM</span>

Level 26 here and the helmet is great (still cons yellow to me). As far as Tide octopi and finding groups it should be easier now that they added these to the writs for guilds. I saw quite a few people hunting them when we were there. As a matter of fact we had to zone to TS 2 to get a less populated area so we could actually find a few.
