<DIV>I had been turning off auto attack, cheapshot, stalk, shadowblade. I just got Shrouded Strike and then dinged 20 befor eI had a chance to try it. Now I am wondering if, as Shrouded Strike puts you into stealth mode, I can do the following or something like it...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>cheapshot, turn off auto, shrouded strike, shadow blade.....??</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Are there any better combos out there? Just wondering if anyone has pulled this off...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Silvarian, 20 Ranger Mistmoore.</DIV>
<DIV>Yea, you can use shrouded strike and follow it with a shadowflame or shadowblade for a midfight big hit. (You have to be careful not to auto swing after shrouded strike and before a stealth attack tho or you will break your own stealth.)</DIV>
<DIV>I havent personally tried this but would have to say :</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Yes you can in a group if someone else has aggro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>No if solo as once you hit shrouded strike and attack that would wake the mob from stun.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Ok, I am guessing you will need to strafe to remain behind/flanking the mob. He will turn when you hit him with shrouded strike...???? Is there time?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Really DrkEq? i will have to try this when i get home =)</DIV>
<DIV>Shrouded Strike is the best thing since sliced bread.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you are in a group, and a tank is holding the aggro you can just:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stop Attack -> Shrouded Strike -> Shadow Blade.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its as easy as that. You can also do about 2 Shrouded Strike -> Ambush while waiting for Shadow Blade to come back.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its a lot harder to use if you are solo, since without a stun, the mob will break your Stealth before you can get the Shadow Blade off. The only way around that is complicated, but you can:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Cheap Shot -> Stop Attack -> Jump Behind -> Stalk -> Shadow Blade.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I only get this of about 50% because of facing problems, timing problems, or whatever.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In groups though, these skills really rev up your DPS.</DIV>

You can (and will) Take the aggro from your tank and end up either dead or at best, much less effective. (If your healer stinks, or if your Tank is terrible at aggro management, it is sometimes better to lay off on the DPS to avoid getting aggro)</P> <P> </P> <P>If you toss in a few of your Hate dumps between cycles, you can reliably cap your DPS without too much danger of taking aggro from your Tank. (As long as they know what they are doing, and your not attacking the wrong thing...)</P>
Somebody said... "Stop Attack -> Shrouded Strike -> Shadow Blade." If you stop attacking before hitting Shrouded strike, Using Shrouded Strike turns attack right back on. simply do a 1.2.3 combo via macro or keyboard /useability Shrouded Strike ; attack off ; usability Shadow Blade

<DIV>Shrouded Strike > Auto-attack off(before it hits) > Shadow Blade (or lunge) > Auto-attack off > Stalk > Shadow Flame</DIV><p>Message Edited by Clem_Hazard on <span class=date_text>12-07-2004</span> <span class=time_text>01:04 PM</span>
<DIV>Totally correct. My bad. </DIV>
<DIV>looks a little like the original issue got glossed over --</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>no, you cannot possible use Shrouded Strike THEN Shadowblade in solo combat. As soon as you hit shrouded the mob starts hitting you again, knocking you out of stealth. it also starts autofacing you again, so there's no way you could get behind it. </DIV>
