<DIV>Has anyone roughed out some idea of how our CA damage is calculated? So far I've found no rhyme or reason to it. Does anyone know if weapon damage directly affects Shadowblade damage, for instance?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I've hit for 359 with my Shadowblade (Adept3) whilst using a Carbonite Epee (which was 4-13 dmg at the time).</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thinking I could score higher hits, I switched my primary weapon to a Carbonite Tribal Spear (5-16 dmg if I recall). However, I have yet to match the high I scored with the Epee--in fact I've not noticed that I'm even *averaging* any higher on my CAs.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This has lead me to suspect that melee CAs are figured independently of weapon damage. Has anyone confirmed this, or have any evidence to the contrary?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Just curious...</DIV>
I belive you are right on the fact that weapons dont have much to do with skill damage, which I find **mods 4 teh win!!1!**. There is almost no insentive to upgrading weapons if you use specials the entire fight, etc. I have never noticed a change between shadowblade with steel stilletos vs. my chanters dagger with is like 8-33 damage for me right now, single wield. Anyone else have any impute on this, I am sure this is proubly on the other scout forums, infact, I am going to go give them a look.
<DIV>I got the feeling weapon damage has nothing to say when it comes to CA's as well. I tried out a 1h weapon that had some great damage (quest from SH: Berik, Sword of Storms if I remember correct) And I did just the same amount of damage as I did with one of my duel wield weapons which has much less damage on it. So I guess you're right about that...</DIV>
