I think you missed the point of the post, its saying lay off the hue of a color of a piece of armor, and saying think of something more constructive to petition about, like say, better/more Bow quest, etc. The hue of an armor shouldn't be the main concern for any player. I think you missed the point that the chain armor goes to all scout classes, why should rogue and bard classes have to also go to green armor, because it suits the players playing Rangers better. The "picking up chicks" part was supposed to be a joke, but somehow, I guess that fell flat. I remeber Thorny Vine and the Quest armor for rangers in there 30s were green, because it was ment for Rangers and only Rangers could wear it, not something that is multiclassed, such as this armor. It is nice the color is being changed to suit something more outdoorsey, but I didn't think this should be number one on the ranger top priorities list, that it has seem to of become. Sorry if I offended you, but I would rather see balance issues, quest, and things such as that addressed first, before disputes over salmon colored armor.I am an avid roleplayer, and speak and act almost always in character when I play, and yes, something more outdoorsy would look better, but I think it should of been addressed if these armor pieces just went to Rangers. I could and have been sucking up the "pink" for the past few levels. I think the Devs just tried to pick something that would of been a friendly color to all the classes who were able to quest these pieces and were going towards a particular subclass.Also, no one ever said you had to agree with my opinions, because thats just what they are, opinions, plus if you were up in fashion pink is the new black <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I hope we can just put the whole pink armor scandel behind us, since its being changed. The only problem with armor dyes in my opinion Maul is that we will have to put up with some seriously obnoxious(sp) colors comming from "1337" players, in EQ1, when LoY came out and Armor Dye was sprung on the populace, seeing neon orange ogres kind of killed the RP experience especially, if you were on Brell Serillis, seeing the Leader of the Skurge Exod, unsure on name, havent played EQ in over a year,(one of the few guilds that stayed rp) in all his Ogre glory with bright orange arms, and was an assault on my visual senses, heh. If they add armor dyes, I pray that they will be muted hues, and nothing too outragous.

"Oh, it is pink. That armor is not good enough for me." I agree with Rents. He is not alone. But serious man, stopping a great quest that gives good xp and good armor just because the armor is pink is ridiculous.

Those patches are hotfixes for bugs. They will put out your armor change in the next update. Not hotfixes, just to clear that up for everyone. Patches, or hotfixes are easy things they do fast and have a seperate team pushing the patches out. Then a serpate team working on your class armor, being changed on color. So don't think they are ignoring you either.

I believe the patch refered to was "the big patch", wich should be tomorrow. The little ones we had are to address problems that were needed emmediately. Changing art I'm sure does not qualify as "needed emmediately".

I was one of the first 14 players on my server to reach lvl26 Ranger, so I didn't miss out on any required XP opportunities. I managed to buy a full set of Steel Brigandine Armor (minus boots gloves and bracers already quested in AQ) at a gold+ each, so I obviously wasn't missing out on gold or loot opportunities. My AC and stat buffs are better that the three other Scouts I know at my level and they all have the full AQ armor - the Steel Brigandine is nearly identical in stats to the AQ stuff, so I'm not missing out on some otherwise-unachievable uber prize by not finishing the quest (And other than my PINK SHOES, the armor looks much more 'Ranger-like"). I'm in a guild, and group at least once or twice a day in either XP grinds or questing - no lack of friends or commrades from not having completed the AQ series. I don't see the downside. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you want to spend several levels chasing after pink armor, go right ahead. Nobody's telling you how to play the game. Maybe you're happy getting comfy with your feminine side by playing a cross-dressing toon.
