<DIV>Hi guys,</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Wanted to check this old (best) forgotten song to see if it could have uses against aoe mobs or mobs that cast loads of spells. But cant figure out what i should parse (what to check in chat) to see how well it does.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I figured that together with the +7% time aa final ability it throws up a shield that lasts over 30 secs (32.4 secs) and that "may" make it usefull. Could anyone advise? or post their experience's with this (best) forgotten song</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thnx in advance, Ikikik</DIV>

<DIV>The song is useless at best... Why would you waste a concentration slot on something with a 12% chance (master 1) to absorb the next magical source of damage? It would be wiser to use a straight resist buff in its place to at least help mitigate it somewhat, although people should have the appropriate resist where a resist song is never having to be run, as itself is a waste of a concentration slot....</DIV>

In all my shearching i found but one mob in the game that this song would be of use against. Woushi ! Why ? cause when he fires off his primary ae it is actually 3 aes at once. That plus his other aes give requeim enough hits to proc off of. Now this would also require you be in a group that gets hit by this ae so really you would have to be in mt. Thats it the only mob in game that actually cast enough for this spell to be of any use.<div></div>

<DIV>It is also good for DoT spells. every tick gives a chance to proc. Also mana stone #2 procs this alot. Seriously though, unless you are expecting DoTs or Woushi, don't bother... it's in PvP that this spell truely shines. If you aren't playing PvP just remove it from your hot-bar.</DIV>

Sometimes when I'm with a templar I put it up. With the increase in proc chance I get to see myself float all wicked powerful like. I rarely see the second half happen, but that's not the reason I put it up. I just want to see myself float.

Im not even sure on pvp this spell is worth a concentration slot.   It only has a % chance to proc and deal damage back to the caster.   I think i would rather have arcane or elemental resist buffs up that will always be up as opposed to a reflection that will only proc on a % chance.  Make it a free cost to cast "no concentration" and this spell could come in very handy then...but untill then its just a waste of concentration.

<DIV>You are missing the true power of this spell in PvP... AEs. On each tick of an AE you have 12% chance PER PERSON in your group to reflect it. 12% x 6 people = 72% for each and every tick of damage or AE spell. Like I've said before, this spell is GOD for PvP, especially against warlocks.</DIV>

any mobs AE that taps you twice for magical damage is worthwhile for RoR in my opinion<div></div>

59 on PvP and haven't fought a single loc yet and only grouped with 2 - SUCH a misunderstood class <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /><div></div>

It's a little more complicated. The actual result afaik is 41,42% to proc at least once on a 6 members group. </DIV>

<DIV>Unless the Devs have set things up differently to a high school maths class, then the percentage chance to proc is cumulative (i.e 12%+12%+12% etc) </DIV> <DIV>I can see no way that it would come to 42%... would love to know your reasoning and any thoughts on this.</DIV>

<P>Might be  12(1+5/6+4/6+3/6+2/6+1/6)=42%??</P> <P> </P>

<P>The percentage chance to proc is not cumulative. Otherwise, the chance to proc on 10 people would be 120%. The chance to proc one or more times is:</P> <P>1-0.88^6</P> <P>or 54%</P> <P>Not sure how Myrddhinn got his number. It seemed he was on the same track as me. One of us did our math wrong.</P><p>Message Edited by mbolme on <span class=date_text>01-29-2007</span> <span class=time_text>07:19 AM</span>
