Dissonant Note and Mezz

<DIV>It does. During a raid yesterday afternoon my illusionist got mad at me for keeping Aria up, so I tested it afterwards. Successfull mezz plus dissonant note procing does not break mezz, resisted mezz does not break mezz, resisted mezz plus dissonant note breaks mezz.</DIV>

failing to land a mez should not count as a "successful hostile spell" so it's just bugged if it's procing dissonant note. i've never had that happen, though on successful mezzes, i've had it break just before the mez is reapplied due to the proc.<div></div>

<DIV>The proc lands BEFORE the mez, so you should only get the mez break message when renewing mez. you break your old one with the damage proc, then the new one is re-applied straight away.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have also never seen the proc go off on resists against single targets. Resists on AEs will still proc.</DIV>

Because I have tons of proc gear, Synergism on myself, and Aria from a group'd troubador and mez just does not break for me because of any of my procs if I am just mezzing the mob.

I remezz, dissonant note procs and breaks, if mezz is successfull, mob is remezzed immediately, if mezz is resisted, then mezz breaks. A resisted mezz is an unsuccesfull spell in my mind, it shouldn't trigger the proc.

I can definately say that Aria doesn't proc when the mez is resisted.No clue about PotM, probably a bug or unwanted if it does.This seems to go along with the observations in the other thread. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
