One of the other threads got me interested in what happened to the old-timers that got this board started. A lot left with the troubadour nerfs, and I wanted to know: Are you still playing your troub? Do you still read this board? What are you doing now? Will you come back if troubs get love, or are you gone for good? I'm not really an old-timer, more of a sort-of-old-timer, but here are my answers:

I play my troub, but not a lot. Yes, I read the board. I am playing a lot of alts. I might come back if troubadours get love, but probably not. I doubt that loving will return it to the powerful, versatile class it was before. I REALLY hope I am wrong, though.

WHERE ARE YOU?:

vinterskugge
VericSauvari
Bassist
thorvang
ForgottenFoundling
Sanju
Jooneau
Rampagious
Snublefot
Jaimster - I know you still read this board.
Jenoy - I know you still read this board, too.

and any other I missed.

I'm still here. I started Thanksgiving '04.

I'll agree with others though, I'm rather detatched these days. I'm able to play decently (regardless of the situation), but I'm fully mastered and mostly fabled (only use legendary for effects).

I don't believe the Devs have any plans for us really. But I'll be around... until I'm not.

Rampagious is still playing, but is suspended from the forums for a week for calling a mod some choice words

I'm not on your list, but am an old-timer anyway. I just never post. My Troub is my main and always has been. Started second week of the game going public.

I have had a Troubador since release and was my much loved main until DoF/LU 13. I betrayed within weeks of the lvl cap being removed and thus became a Dirge. I still read these boards in hope for those who still play the Troubador class that you folks (and Bards in general - trust me the grass is only slightly greener on the Dirge side) will eventually get some much needed attention. I spend most of my time on my alts and use the Dirge (former long time troub) almost strictly for raiding.

Aredisil, 70 Dirge(ex Troubador) AB

Hmm, I guess I count too - I read even though I never post. (Forums frighten me!) I rolled my troub on launch day and she's still my main. I raid with her, group with her, and sometimes stand around doing nothing with her. Although my guild will attest to the number of times I have bemoaned the lack of love for our class, she's still my favorite to play. There have been times I thought I would give up (when I heard about LU#24, I rolled a dirge in preparation for never playing my troub again) but I've stuck with it.

I even still have a macro telling people not to touch my treasure chest until I'd disarmed, darn it! ("bards are scouts?" "YES!") and one telling the tank I was rebuffing AGAIN and it was his fault if he pulled and I died. Can't say I miss rebuffing every ten minutes...

/dances with the other old-timers!
