<DIV>I've been looking at my logs after PVP battles and notice that this debuff, which drains power and heal at a percentage (11% at the App I level I believe), doesn't really do all that much.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>When you examine the spell, the spell has no PVP check box (which tells you how effective the spell is when engaged in PVP combat).  So, I'm assuming that the 11% still holds true when in PVP.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>However, when fighting PCs in my level range, I look at my logs and see that "Your Lore's Snapping Sonnet drains XXXXXX of 4 points of power, and 4 points of health," or something to that effect.  It's real low as compared to the spell description.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>My INT is considerably high for my level (lvl 28 atm), is there something I need to raise, skill wise, to get this to fire off at a decent amount?  If my target has 1000 hit points, and 1000 power points, that spells should drain them for a max of 110, but on average, I only get 4, 3 or zero from this spell.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Any advice would be greatly appreciated, and if a dev could chime in if it is borked, then that would be super duper awesome!</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks,</DIV>

Well if you look at most of your spells and CAs youll notice that their power cost isnt really all that high - so 11% is ... well not all that much!  At master at level 70 its a 37% power drain ( i think thats the exact number) and it may not seem like alot in pvp but if you get it on your opponent early it can take a sizable portion of their mana/health - i find its especially helpful in a 1v1 against a healer along with sandras strike - the one with power drain attached.  Keep in mind that the Lores line also has a defense debuff which is never a bad thing in PvP.  And no Int shouldnt affect the damage  - i believe the only thing that affects the % is the level/mastery of the spell itself - i also belief that the effects cannot be resisted, once the debuff is up it works like the coercers cataclysmic mind - except alot worse.<div></div>

I was under the wrong impression regarding this spell damage.  I always cast it when pvp'ing, just misunderstood what it actually did.  Thanks for clearing that up Azure...

<DIV>If you have the master version in t7 then for every 100 points of power they would normally use, it actually costs them 137 power and 37 hitpoints.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Example:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>A Wizard nukes you with ball of lava. Lets just say that it costs 300 power to cast Ball of Lava (made up figure). If you have cast Lore's on said wizard, he will take 111 points of mental damage (mitigated?) and use 411 points of mana to cast it. Now admitedly its not huge, but it adds up. I was fighting a guild monk in the arena (i know, i know) a couple months back and he said that it was causing him some serious problems.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Its gotta be worth something though right? Debuffing defense is never bad... unless you're kiting where it becomes pointless.  </DIV>

Lores damage is not resisted or mitigated after the debuff lands - just thought i would add that if there was confusion<div></div>

In the early game, particularly, it is very handy for hampering those folks who think they can just sprint to the zone line. An now reviving has a power penalty it really sucks the zergers dry if you hit them coming back with low power.
