<DIV>Just saw 3 pieces of this armor on the Xanadu website and I almost went into shock. No int on any of these pieces. Set bonus for 7 items is an increase for Dove Song. Unbelievable.</DIV>

Dove song?  For the full set?  That's just downright insulting.

There were loud complaints when the coif dropped in beta. The lack of INT, the Clara's bonus and originally the Dove Song increase was the (5) item bonus and the (7) item was a 3% bonus to dps IIRC. The missing INT wasn't a huge concern at the time since we didn't know what the other items had as stats. Now we should be very concerned<div></div>

Shows once again that the people designing the game and the loot neither knows or cares about how the bard classes actually work.Red flags were raised at Zanders boost AA, EoF Troubador armor just confirmed my beliefs.

don't know about you guys, but i /feedback'ed it. going to do it every day until something changes.... also it makes me sick comparing the dirge set bonus to ours... for 3 or 5 (forget which) pieces they can reduce the recast of cacophany of blades by 25seconds... what do we get? oh yeah claras damage upgrade, +10 to dove song, and a small dps modifier yay!!!! also blows that they do not have any intelegence on the set items... if the set happens to drop im only going to spend my dkp on it for the discovery and in hopes that someone smacks the item developer across the face and knocks some sense into them. . . . . . . .

+60 dmg to clara's- errm, ok. more damage is good, but why clara's? and why only 60 dmg?+6% spell crit- seems nice. but with no int on the set (maybe the other 4 items?) it is rather pointless. the other 4 items need to balance out the complete lack of int on the already known 3 items. i don't think they'll have int in the 40ies.+10 to dove song- ... might benefit some nukers, don't know. questionable bonus.so in conclusion: this set is worthless.

Dose anyone know where these drop yet?  I have seen one treasured lore "tradable" leather chest piece drop off a random named in LP that was part of a set for furys / wardens.  But being these fabled, im guessing they are from some 4x mobs in EOF?

We'll see how the stats are spread on the pieces. The skill increase could be usefull given the new mechanics But Clara's needs to be changed, at least make the set equal to the dirge set ( ideas could be a bonus to jester's reuse, or better, an increased duration, same with maestro ) i understand how a boost in clara's damage is usefull in order to compensate for the 2 seconds needed to stealth yourself only to get that backstab in, but a 5% in it's damage is nowhere near what would be gained via a shorter cast timer for stealth. And bard stealth needs to be changed ... still waiting... <span>:smileywink:</span> <div></div>

<DIV>With those stats its not worth it. Maybe getting 3 on for the damage boost to Clara, but the crit boost will be marginal compared to the damage boosts on relic armor. The armor seem to have more then decent resists tough, so I guess it will seep into most raiding troubs inventories. But as a full set used as primary gear? We'll have to see how much the combined stats adds to. The dove boost is ... not making sense.</DIV>

Is anyone else sick of how PvP seems to get all the love?I can understand how raiding is more difficult if you're in a non exiled guild, but when they compensate by giving players armour with extremely useful procs on every single piece it drives me nuts.[Removed for Content] can't we see effects like that on the PvE servers?<div></div>

In the defense of PVP, it's not exactly easy to get all of the gear short of hardcore farming and/or constant PVPing. The biggest difference between the two is that one is assured and free, while the other one costs cash (minimal) and status (minimal again). <div></div>

If someone hardcore farmed, picked on weaklings, and just generally spent all their time daily going for tokens, it would probably take upwards of two to three weeks to a month of hardcore grinding. At the moment, I only have one piece (boots) and I do not grind daily for the set gear, mainly because I do not have the time. Also realize that if you solo grind, the difficulty goes up as we are not a solo class (time spent goes down). This is on top of the raiding I try to do for EoF and KoS stuff.Grass is greener on the other side. Always has been and always will be. Unless you did nothing but prey and stalk for days and days you would get it at the same rate as raiding, if not only marginally faster.<div></div>

<DIV>So if someone plays as much as a hardcore raider they can get a fullset in the time it takes a hardcore raider to get maybe 3.  That seems fair.</DIV>

Also realize that if you solo grind, the difficulty goes up as we are not a solo class (time spent goes down). This is on top of the raiding I try to do for EoF and KoS stuff.<BR><BR>Grass is greener on the other side. Always has been and always will be. Unless you did nothing but prey and stalk for days and days you would get it at the same rate as raiding, if not only marginally faster.<BR> <BR> <HR> </BLOCKQUOTE> <P><BR>Even if your scenario panned out, you are still the master of your own destiny.  Raiding is something else entirely.  You are bound by lockout timers, 23 other peoples schedule, their desires for gear, need to learn strats, dkp limits/accumulation, etc.  Even if you're "hardcore", you can't be rewarded at the rate of the PVP rewards.</P> <P>Rampagious is in the best (arguably) raiding guild in the game.  He's one of the primary, if not THE primary bard in his guild and he still does not have a full set of Troubador only gear (which is significantly worse than your pvp rewards).  It's not only the time it takes to get "some" fabled, it's the time it takes to get the BEST fabled.  And there just isn't a possibility for raids to pay off as quickly as PVP would.</P> <P>PVP token gear surpasses the hell out of raiding loot and is easier to get. PERIOD</P> <P>If that weren't bad enough, you still have access to the same loot that we do on PVE via raids (with potentially better starting gear as well).</P>

Unless they change PvP so when you hand in your tokens they randomly assign you a piece of gear there's no comparison to PvE. There are currently people with 3-4 pieces of the fabled armour, and it's sheer dumb luck that they even have that much. A person could raid for the next 6 months and never see a single item drop for their class. Guaranteed PvP fabled is bull<div></div>

<DIV>Just for the record, i have 0 (zero) peice of that PvP gear, and i dont expect to get any very soon. On my server (Venekor) over half of freeport has betrayed to Qeynos, so i have VERY few targets. Of those targets, the majority are brigands or healers, the first of which is almost impossible for me to kill solo, and healers are difficult to impossible as well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also, tonight, i killed a 70 guardian 1v1, i got NOTHING for killing him, no status, no faction, no fame, NO TOKEN. Didnt even get him onto my /recent list. Also, the most i've seen anyone have is 4 peices of the PvP stuff, so its about even no?</DIV>

<DIV>PvP has different rules kiddies.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can only obtain and wear the armor if you belong to a faction.  If you belong to a faction you cannot group with anyone from the opposing faction nor the specific good/evil classes.   Because of this, PvP armor receives quite a bit bigger boost than normal Tiered Fabled to make up for the gimped setup.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Exiles get nothing, because they have the same benefits as a PvE server.  You can always come roll on a PvP server if you want the "overpowered" armor.  And I wish you luck =p</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Jait T'vyl</DIV> <DIV>70 Troubadour Venekor</DIV> <DIV>Den of Madness</DIV>
