Hey guys,Just wondering what everyone is thinking of in terms of god worship ? What god is of the most benefit. I was in the beta but the god system was one aspect I never really got to test...What do you guys think?

I could be wrong, but I don't think any of the four active troubadours got into the beta.

I got into beta in the last week, so I didn't really have too much time to research all aspects of the upcoming AA or combat additions/changes.

Solusek Ro deity cloak seems like a good one to get for Troubadors. It has undergone a couple of changes in beta, but the end result (so far) is to add 65 to any spell damage.

I played my Troub a little while waiting on my swashie to be moved over, i took Rallos with him.

I was in beta for about a month, and I'm personally going Quellious. With a little bit of searching you can find all of the god abilities that you can get from her.

Personally, from EQ1 experience at least, Mithanial Marr works the best with the troub. I, like was stated as being one of the four active troubs, did not make it into the beta so I can't say it's the same way in EQ2. Quellious was always a good pick but what you'll want to look at more so than anything are that group wide stat and status effects that the individual gods will give you. That, at it's heart, is what being a Troub is about. Being a walking extra 5 concentration slots that occasionally does damage. In my case, lots of damage.

Both Quellious and Mithanial Marr are good only though, aren't they? I guess Innoruk could be ok for evil Troubs, but eh... it sounds expensive and time consuming to get the spells in the first place, so I may just go with the one that has the coolest looking cloak.

I wanted to follow Solly due to the lack of better options for my mindset, but was turned off because of the original fire damage version

I think there are a few choices that could suit you, depending on your style of play etc. I'll speak to troubs mostly as I am one, dirges may vary some in their choices.

Sol Ro has healing, DPS, and a good cloak for spell procs. Nothing huge, and a few that we can't use too well (fire proc from BCG might trigger thefire based requirement?).

Quellios does boost mental which is good for troub, and for group utility some of the power regen stuff looked nice. The Deagro effect (IIRC) really isn't a thing bards need

Tunare has some nice stuff tucked in there around healing, and a pet or 2. Could be useful combind with Quiron's (Yean I know it's regen not healing, bummer, but the added healing and regen from both could still be useful).

Dirgs probably benefit more from Mith Marr, but both could really get some solid DPS out of this god choice and a Bard getting +50 Str out of the cloak could be a boon to DPS CAs.

Brell - too many Tradesill effects for my taste, but the pets and AE blessings offered a DPS boost and some utilty. Tradeskill heavy bard might consider this option.

Evil troubs I didn't look at and I don't recall what Brell's cloak does off the top of my head.

They are both pretty good. In live, I went with Sol Ro. I found a couple of miracles that he had that I thought were useful for my raid dps and not too tricky to appropriately use. I also like the 65 damage bonus to all attack spells... Its small, but noticable over a longer fight given the fast recast of some of our abilities.
Message Edited by Malicorp on 11-16-2006 09:25 AM

I took Sol Ro, extra damage from the cloak and there's a couple of blessings & miracles that aren't fire based and could prove quite handyGood gods weren't an option for me as I'm FP based

If your a troubador who tries to put up decent DPS numbers (yes there are a few out there) go with Sol Ro. The 4th tier blessing and miracle do not require fire based damage and will offer good DPS boosts. The 5th tier AE pet is also awsome damage. Finally, the cloak is great with +65 damage to all spells. Doesn't seem like much, but take our AE DoT and WIS debuff, 65 extra damage added per tick is almost 40%.

If your Qeynos alligned and DPS isn't your thing, Quellious offers some nice utility to your group / raid. However, the end cloak sucks.

If your a Freeport citizen, Inny has some cool blessings and miracles and the cloak is decent with the tap effect. However, Zek will probally offer more of a DPS increase.
