<div></div>One of the problems is that these forums and this class have been ignored for such a long time that it makescool headed feedback quite hard.I am among the first ones to get mad at some wierd ideas, and it hurts me when i knowi'm getting mad at the devs of a <i>game.</i>What about having two boards, one for ideas and one for spilling out the anger and despair regardingthe ongoing situation of the bard class.I would be eager to try to have the longest , ongoing, serious, insult free, plenty of ideas boardand see if that still gets no response when 100 troubs ( which is about  a tenth of the t7 population )describe the broken aspects of this class and the evident tweaks needed.Something like 10 pages of ideas and 100 of ranting <span>:smileywink:</span><div></div>

<div></div>Excellent postPersonally, I don't post much on the forums but I read a lot. I am, to put it nicely,...upset with the troub class. I wondered to myself just the other day what the devs want from us. We have tried giving ideas and constructive feedback and all we recieve is the cold shoulder. If we get upset our thread gets locked. Many posts that get put into other forums such as the in testing feedback are moved by a mod to the troub forums where they are easily looked over by the devs.<b>I just don't understand what the proper format they want in order to respond to bard concerns.</b>Anyway...I can only give feedback from my experiences which may differ from others.1. Our buffs/debuffs need to scale better. The power cost on our debuffs is pretty hefty and drains us if we try to keep them up while other classes have similar debuffs that do not have a reoccuring power cost. If they are going to cost that much power, then they should have an obvious effect on mobs.2. More buffs along the lines of PotM and Jesters Cap should be added to help give us a more active role in combat. Short term buffs with nice effects are great as they help to augment our contribution to a group/raid which I feel is lacking. Simply being in a group to make sure others don't get aggro and run out of power isn't very fun to me.3. Almost every mechanics "nerf" in this game has effected bards. Melee procs, stat caps, power regen caps, health regen caps, spell procs, mez, defense caps, charm etc. There has been little done to augment the bards after being dropped in effectiveness.4. There are several buffs that sound good on paper but just do not achieve thier intended purpose in the game. Requiem of Reflection as an example. This has gone through many changes and it still does not achieve it's intended purpose. It almost seems that the moons need to be in alignment for this spell to actually do anything. I love the concept, but it's just not working as it is implimented.5. When this game started it was stated that all classes would be able to fill their core role. Tanks would tank, Healers would heal etc. Scouts are dps classes. There are several ways of accomplishing this...pure dps (Assassin/Ranger) dps and debuffs (Swash/Brig) and buffs/debuffs with some dps (Troub/Dirge). In my opinion, these should all equal out to roughly the same in the end. I feel that the troub does not.I am not a game developer, I am a game player. I do not have all the answers how to fix the troubadour class. I can only give you my opinion and hope that there are changes....Thanks to any dev that takes the time to read this.<div></div>

You have become better at Being Ignored by the Devs! (381)Seriously, you know like little kids have things like F-word and S-word? SoE devs have this T-word. It's not spoken, it's supposed to be ignored and they hope the T-word will just die and go away.

Good post. Some points that need twinking (and haven't been posted in this thread):1. We have a self buff, but we are the only class for which the self buff takes a concentration slot. And that while we are one of the few classes who always have to choose which buffs to use.2. Although we always have to choose our buffs, it mostly boils down to the same setup because most of our concentration using buffs are not worth the concentration slot (Health regen, Requiem, Dove Song, etc).3. As stated before, these songs sound great in theory, but in reality the added value is too little to notice (What good is a 100 hp per tick regen when mobs hit for 1000+ per hit, what good is a reflect song that seldomly reflects? Maybe Dove Song will be a great song to use in EoF when the caps are raised and higher casting skills yield a bonus to mana cost)4. Our solo DPS is too low to effectively solo. Sure we can solo some mobs, but often it takes too freakingly long. And when we get hit it seems like our mitigation has very little to offer.5. Our KoS achievements are setup in such a way that almost all raiding Troubadours chose the same path for 49 of the 50 achievements.6. Our class name has been spelled incorrectly it should read "TROUBADOUR".
