View Full Version : Do AA's affecting 'songs' only affect your songs, or other bards in group?

I would guess that these AAs affect only your own songs. But as the descriptions Ive read dont make it completely clear, and I am currently threeboxing a Troubadour and two Dirges, I thought Id ask.If I had the AA Minstrel's Aria, "Songs that increase combat skills or casting techniques have their values increased," would that affect songs of other Troubadours or Dirges in my group? Thanks,Mal

hopefully it only means outgoing buffs.... cuz it would be kind of silly to only get those increases for yourself. :smileytongue:i mean, yeah, it would be cool to get extra buffing out of other bards, but it hurts your group if they don't get the same benefit, and i just don't see achievement choices affecting the whole group.

I understand that AAs increase the effectiveness of my songs, and thus the buffs for the group. But do my AAs increase the effectiveness of OTHER bards song in my group? It says "Songs that increase...", but doesnt say YOUR songs. So kinda hoping that my AAs increase the Dirges songs in my group, and their AAs mine.I would think that they dont stack though. But each Bard could run down a different line, so that they dont overlap on AAs; kinda like running different songs.Mal

I'm not at a computer where I can run EQ2, but is there a target descriptor for the AA? (i.e. does it say self or group?) Do AAs have such a desciptor, I haven't paid much attention to them yet.

Testing is so helpful for the community.I guess there is no need to have each of my bards go down a different line. Would have been pretty cool though.Kajinryu, I wasnt at my computer when I posted it. But I figured that the descriptions online would be the same as those displayed in game.I wonder if it would be overpowering to have our AA's modify other bards songs. Would be an incentive for multiple bards in groups. It doesnt sound like people are begging for improvements in Dirge or Troubadours finding groups, so probably not necessary. But it does seem like having multiple bards adds very little to a group, compared to doubling up on other classes. Granted they would have to train in separate lines, and that seems problematic. Thanks,Mal

Message Edited by Faelos on 09-27-2006 07:41 AM
