<DIV>Just a bit of rambling...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I really love playing my troubadour, in spite of all the changes our class has undergone in the past. I can even live with the changes to mezz and charm, I actually like the new charm. I solo a lot and do not really feel handicapped due to the changes to charm and mezz. I also raid a lot, my raid alliance regularly clears all KOS raid instances. In spite of being a raider, I chose to skill stamina aa's, 8 points in Fortissimo. Most of the other bards in my alliance have changed to this setup and really like it a lot.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have been doing Nizara regularly, my group consists of Guardian, Swashbuckler, Coercer, Templer, Fury and me. This group really rocks, the dps is incredible and if we wipe, then only at the last named. The rest is actually quite easy. In general I like playing together with a coercer. My question concerning Nizara is, if it can be completed with a troubadour as sole mezzer? I would love to try it, but it is always difficult to convince people to try things in non-standard groups.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I have been soloing Poet's Palace regularly. Up to the Keeper it is fairly easy, but that guy really bugs me. He can mezz me, while I have him mezzed, the battle hardly goes anywhere. High mental resists and keeping him stunned and stifled help a lot, but if he nukes me, while I am mezzed it is over fairly fast. Kiting might help, but I hate doing that.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I think next I'll seriously attempt Nest solo, I have cleared up to the first named, but that isn't much of a challenge.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I haven't been to Xux'liao's Roost yet, I never get put into the line-up. Argument is, we don't need deaggro there, but maximum dps. My understanding has always been, that a dps group with a troubadour will always outperform one, in which the troubadour is replaced with a damage dealer. Am I missing something special about this zone? In most cases our x4 setups only have one troubadour, even though we would have at least two available. Are we compromising our dps? Most zones to us are beatable with one or no troubadour, but I feel our next step should be to optimize our dps, be it only to farm the boring zones faster.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>In raids and groups I have been experimenting with Requiem of Reflection, where mobs have ae's, especially with dots (the gazers in DT, Cruor, fire named in Nizara). I feel it procs quite often. I get a message when it absorbs damage, but I haven't found a message, when it reflects damage. This should be in the damage log, maybe my settings are wrong. Does anybody know what to look for or if a message is generated at all?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>
