Last night I was soloing the last bit of Lost Legend HQ in Sol Eye when I escaped back to the zone-in.Before escaping I used Jester's Cap on me for 40% faster reuse (I have the M1 version). My recast for Escape was reduced, but not by 40%. The hotkey said that the skill would be up again in 11 minutes.Maybe I'm thinking wrong, but 40% reduced reuse timer would make the reuse timer 60% of 15 minutes which is 9 minutes instead of 11.

<DIV>it's been this way since it went live</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Via fuzzy math their 40% reduction equates to about 29% real reduction in recast times. I've changed my macros to reflect it because it bothered me to keep answering the same question over and over again.</DIV>

Typical...isn't 29% the reduction on the Ad1?

No idea, but even if it was the 29% on the Ad1 would be more like 18%.<div></div>

<div></div><div></div><font color="#0000cc">It improves your recast by 40%, not reduce your recast by 40%. So the recast ends up being [15 mins / (100+40%)], or roughly 10:42 minutes. When done this way, using the same damage ability over time (and assuming the ability did the same amount every time), damage improves by 40%. Which really isn't fuzzy math imo, and the only fix would be to change the ability to say that it improves recast timers (only if it currently says it reduces them). Do people have the same problem with our attack speed song? Do you really expect the 100% attack haste that melee strives toward to allow you to attack every 0.0 seconds?</font><p>Message Edited by Kajinryu on <span class=date_text>09-10-2006</span> <span class=time_text>06:37 PM</span>

<DIV>I find that it doesn't work on certian spells though I have been using it before I cast bladedance an AA line spell in the hopes I would be able to reduce the 10min recast time but unfortunatly it stays at 10 min everytime I use it.</DIV>

I only ask because it absolutely does work on Bladedance, and every other spell or item in the game.</div>
