<DIV>I'm considering rolling a Troubadour, mainly to be support/utility for my PvP guild. Are Troubadours very beneficial to group PvP? How about to end-game PvE? Do they primarily benefit casters, or is there good buffs for other classes, too?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks!</DIV>

I'm not 100% sure about the pvp aspect, but i do know that requiem of reflection is a good thing to have against healers/casters for duels... as far as pve...They buff DPS... Alin's line allows any non-fighter to generate less hate, therefore letting them put out more dps.The only thing that troubadors get that doesn't benefit melee in any way would be aira (unless for some reason you have a dirge in the same grp), dove song (useless even for casters), and percision of the maestro. There are several threads that i recall recently showing the best buffs to use, so check them out, believe they are still on the first page O.o<p>Message Edited by vladsamier135 on <span class=date_text>08-30-2006</span> <span class=time_text>04:03 PM</span>

Anyone else have an opinion? Can anyone here who does group/guild PvP say whether it helps their team a lot? Are troubadors sought after for PvE raids?<div></div>

Troubadours in end game PVP are hit or miss. Truth be told, one of the higher resists that most PVPers tend to focus on is either mental or disease (to avoid getting mezzed or harm touched/ganked by a necro respectively). Because of this, troubadours get resisted a significant amount of times during the course of a PVP fight, even more so in a group battle. However, charm can turn battles like no other. Reverie mixed with intelligent use of debuffs and all around harassment can lead to a very deadly opponent. Troubadours are not meant to kill things, instead they work to wear down an opponent and have them make silly mistakes. Dropping the power drain debuff on healers can lead to quick power loss, while charming the tank leaves the opposing group SoL. Requiem is also incredibly valuable in that it can randomly stop an enemy spell, or altogether stuff a really big hitter in the caster's face (can't begin to say how satisfying it is to harm touch a shadowknight or ice nova a wizard). Troubadours are the pinnacles of being underestimated. So many people think that we're nothing but pretty and shiny group members that they don't see the true pain until right before they die. It's so much easier to decapitate people and go on your merry way. The satisfaction you finally achieve after you down someone with a troubadour, especially at higher levels, is well worth the pain it takes to get there. That, and troubadours are exceedingly rare on some PVP servers in late game.<div></div>
<P>Troubs are generally very sought after in PvE raiding. Not only are we a relatively rare class (low supply), we bring very unique and useful abilities (buffs) to raids (high demand). Also, the troub class is one of very few classes where you would like to have 2 in your raid (even more demand).</P> <P>In my not-so-humble opinion, troubs and brigands are the two most popular raiding classes. Brigands are also very rare and bring some unique abilities (debuffs). Again, having one brig in your raid is good, having 2 is a nice bonus.</P>

just to touch on the last post, on pvp servers, bringands are a dime a dozen... trabs are still rare though <div></div>
